HUNTINGTON BEACH -- Ultimate Fighting champ Tito Ortiz was arrested Monday on charges of beating up his live-in girlfriend, porn queen Jenna Jameson.

The attack happened at the couple's Huntington Beach home which they share with their two young children.

Ortiz was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, according to Lt. Mike Reynolds of the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Police responded to the home in the 16700 block of Baruna Lane just before 10:00 a.m. after a receiving a 911 call from Jameson's father reporting a "domestic disturbance," Reynolds said.

Ortiz was taken into custody in handcuffs.

Jameson, 36, had "visible injuries" when officers spoke to her about what happened, Reynolds said.

Ortiz, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound former light heavyweight champ of Ultimate Fighting, was booked at the Huntington Beach Jail on suspicion of felony domestic violence.

His bail was set at $25,000.

He is expected to post bail shortly and be released, Reynolds said.

The 5-foot-7, 110-pound porn star is expected to press charges.

The couple has 13-month-old twin boys.

I don't know if she was racist or just following some outdated conventional wisdom within the porn industry, but she came into the porn scene in the 1990's, and it was custom at the time for producers to tell top-tier porn starlets to stay away from doing interracial scenes because mainstream porn fans hated seeing female porn superstars getting black dick. And those who did do interracial were either new starlets just getting in the adult industry or over-the-hill types who couldn't get any other work. Of course, these days, with porn being so ubiquitous, a lot of those rules have been thrown out the window, since a lot of porn is getting more extreme in general, so doing basic interracial porn is as quaint as 50's sitcoms.

But back to the story at hand. I don't want to say that Jenna was asking for this, because no woman deserves to be beaten by anyone , but considering that her man was in MMA and was paid to beat the living crap out of people, he probably was predisposed to acting violently in certain situations.

I didn't know they were still together. I've never really cared for Tito. His behavior always struck me as very "frat boy".

HUNTINGTON BEACH -- Following his arrest on suspicion of beating up his girlfriend, porn star Jenna Jameson, mixed martial arts fighter Tito Ortiz held a press conference Monday night to declare his innocence.

Ortiz's friend and attorney Chip Matthews did most of the talking, saying that Jameson has been battling an addiction to Oxycontin for "well over a year."

"We're here right now because this morning she had a relapse," Matthews said.

Matthews said Tito confronted Jameson about some drugs he found Monday morning, and Jameson denied it and "had some emotional breakdown over it."

"As Tito was leaving, unfortunately she contacted the police department through another individual," Matthews said.

"I want to be quite clear, he continued, "Tito Ortiz never laid a hand on Jenna."

Matthews said Jameson's family has been very supportive, and that her father Larry even brought Tito clothes after his arrest.

A teary Ortiz made a brief statement, thanking his fans and family for their support, but answered no questions.

"My parents have gone through an addiction ... I'm not gonna let that happen to my family," Ortiz said. "I hold everything dear to my heart that Jenna will be okay."

Ortiz was the Ultimate Fighting Championship's light heavyweight champion from 2000 to 2003.

He was a star wrestler at Huntington Beach High School and Golden West College.

According to court records this isn't Ortiz' first brush with the law.

The UFC star was sentenced to jail in 1998 after pleading guilty to charges of "battery with serious bodily injury."

Ortiz was sentenced to three years probation, 29 days in jail and 232 hours of community service.
