Okay, so here's a couple of news bits from the straight guy who scouts the Net for gay celebrity news:

1) Another celebrity is coming out on May 5; Apparently, they've already got a People magazine article lined up as well as a guest shot on The View.

Years ago, I was on one of those AOL Newsgroups called Alt Showbiz Gossip and there was a huge speculation that a celebrity was going to come out, just like Ellen did within the past few months. My handle was MyOwnClone aka Cloneboy (yes I have never been good at coming up with names) and there was all this wild speculation of who the celebrity might be. Keep in mind, this was a time before celebs were coming out right and left and in the gossip world, this was a huge thing. For some reason, after throwing out name after name (including, of course, Thomas Malpathor Cruise) there were two celebs that all of were convinced were going to make the statement. Jonathan Taylor Thomas OR Craig T. Nelson. How we came to believe either JT or Coach was going to come out, I can't remember but we were all convinced that it was definitely going to be one or the other. Needless to say, neither came out and nor did anyone else at that time.

Maybe this will be the year...

A planned coming out press tour? Narcissistic much?

The smart money would be on Jodie Foster, she isnt doing much and could use some publicity. Also its not going to be that surprising since everyone has known for years.

The only truly shocking coming out would be a zac efron, taylor lautner, chris pine type. A up and coming star. That would be a real statement.

While the speculation continues about the celeb, I've learned more about the Archie story line. A new kid named Kevin Kelley comes to Riverdale. After beating Jughead in a hamburger eating contest, he quickly gains a spot in the Archie gang. Veronica falls head over heels for the new guy and complications ensue.

The character is being introduced as the first OPENLY gay character, meaning there could be other residents of Riverdale who are gay. (I hope for Kevin's sake there is). Here are the odds for who may be the next to come out in Riverdale;

Jughead 2;1
Dilton Doiley 6:1
Big Moose 15:1
Reggie 20:1
Betty 25:1

Of course Archie's uncertainty between Betty and Veronica over the years, and the fact that he seems to have the most chemistry with Jughead, could make Archie a possibility.

Shoot, I didn't even have her on my list...mainly because I kind of don't really know exactly who she is.
