But if I couldn't talk or connect to a girl in a bar... why not... and if you 'find' that special person through a dating site, who cares... you've got her/him.

oh my...this is 2010 people, i don't know anybody of my friends who isn't on a datingsite. It's just as common as going to a bar or something....

I've tried a dating site... found out that I was only one of 4 women in my area that belonged to that site so I was getting hit by as many of 30 guys a week minimum. It was overwhelming. Most looked cute and the guys I met looked like their pictures. The dudes I actually met didn't seem to respect me. I think they just saw me as a cum bag, they were only interested in sex. I dumped 3 guys and called it quits.
They all still call me every once in a while. All 3 regret treating me the way they did and claim to miss me. All dudes were nice, but I only had creepy experiences meeting these men.

These men can't meet women IRL because they have issues.
I met someone last summer and we are still seeing eachother. I didn't meet him on that site and he's fun and exactly what I like in a man.

I will tell you about one I consider tragic. Mostly as they are too fussy in what they want from a guy, take one, hes actually and American from Arizona who moved here in 1980 and was married, in 1982 he came out and had 4 mainstream boyfriends (In 17 years) including myself until 1999, now he just chases Asian boys. I say boys as he likes young looking ones, hes 57 and the boys are like 19 to 25ish. He goes to Thailand regularly and has plastic surgery or either chases boys at some place called Sunee Plaza. All these boys do is ask him for money and they have the funniest names. These relationships are silly and never last, in the past 2 year hes gone to Thailand 4 times and has had the following men. Beam, Max, Sa, and Sim, I mean come on with names like that how can you take them seriously. They are all bar boys or prostitutes (Is there any difference) and they all cheat on him.
To make it weirder hes a member of a dating site and has these guys on the go here. Yi (A rich Chinese student about 25), Tae U (Korean boy about 20, who likes him and calls him American soldier), Marcio (A bisexual Timorese guy whose about 30 - hes all right), KLang a 20 year old Chinese, Bosco (Another Chinese, but kiwi Chinese he speaks perfect English, problem is hes not sure if hes gay) and Kiki (A chinese malaysian who never pays for anything).

I know its bad, he cracks me up with his dating stories, none of these guys have much maturity and as long my friends seeks these guys out, he will die alone.

I looked at my matches at Mach.com....I only like nerdy looking scrawny guys...they seem less...uh...don't know the word, but I like soft guys who are respectful and have morals. I'm not contacting them though...they seem very up there...smart guys.
