My team at work got a new Team Specialist about three weeks ago; the role is halfway between being a regular working stiff like me and a manager.

He's 33 and good-looking.

Well, he's been appointed to our team to increase our Quality Scores. As I've only been on the team since December (I was the last to join) my Quality Scores are naturally the worst - simply because I don't know everything yet!

When he first sat down with me to go over my "Weekly Performance Review" he was practically sat on my knee and staring into my eyes intensely. It was odd. I explained to him that I'd only had a week's training before joining the team, and my low scores were unfair, as I was told that I'd receive further training "on the job", so I shouldn't be penalised for not yet knowing everything. Well, he started making outrageous promises, which culminated in him saying, "If we get your Quality Score up to 90% by the end of the quarter, I'll do anything you want. I'll dance on your desk naked for you"...

I was like... The girl sat opposite me, visibly choked on her coffee.

Since that first conversation, he's constantly been asking me about my personal life...

"Are you single?" Yes.
"When did you know you were gay?" Eight years old.
"Why are you wearing a ring, if you're single?" In case I'm attacked, rings hurt when you punch people.
"Do you know blah-blah-blah on the Case Progression Team? They're gay too." No.
"How happy are you on a scale of one to ten?" One.

For the first couple of weeks, it was irritating. But I think he's worn me down now, and I've begun to enjoy his... probing.

I think he's sort of obsessed with me. I was sat next to him on Friday and hardly got any work done. When he came back from lunch and logged back into his computer, he tutted and shook his head saying, "I just entered my password with your name! I'm losing it. Ha! Ha!"

I've started saying ridiculous things back to him. The smuttier I am, the more he laughs.

Is this all harmless fun, or will it all end in tears? He was singing 'Say You, Say Me' by Lionel Richie at me today. I think he expected me to join in - but it was just too fucking weird.

I wouldn't tolerate a coworker talking like that to me, honestly. It's not very professional no matter how good looking they are. And it's quite disrespectful to assume that I would be so easily motivated through improper sexual behavior. I'd probably be pissed.

Ugh, I don't like it. It is all distracting and confusing coming from someone with more power at the company.

"Are you single" & "When did you know you were gay?" are very, and I mean VERY improper for anyone who has sway in your career.

Plus straight and bi-men have this strange 'spell' over many gay men (I'm not implying Justin is one of those types of gay men) and often manipulate them at will--sort of the way most women can do men if they had a strong head about themselves.

I just find it very improper and I would be very uncomfortable. Even if Erik Torkells were my supervisor, I'd really dislike it. It's a place of work.
