It's not being remade. He is talking about the version with Gina Davis. That was the only remake. The original was with Vincent Price.

What the OP is referencing is already a remake, and a great one at that. It better not get remade again, it's perfect, a perfect mix of horror, comedy and tragedy.

the FLY 2 was good. I like the kid. They want to test him on a paper maze, but he doesn't want to be bothered. He takes a glance at it and scribbles something on some paper and hands it to the woman, who holds it up to the maze and it is a perfect fit.

After that, things get weird.

I can't watch it. What happens to his dog upsets me too much.

Hollywood ran out of ideas years ago. It seems that most of the best movies are independent films these days.

There was another remake the Fly 2 (1989) with Eric Stoltz and Daphne Zuniga.

I've only ever seen it on cable and it is kinda gross. Once Jeff starts turning...it's eek and barf the whole way through. The ending to that Fly Jr. flick was really fucked up.

Not a remake at all. That was a sequal to the 1986 movie.

Martin kinda looks like a fly. If you stare at him long enough.
