Cruisin' to Bermuda Baby!

woo hoo! I've never been out of the country or on a cruise. I leave Friday, Boston to Bermuda! No husband...No kids! dancing jig (he doesn't want to go and doesn't want to loose his whole family if it sinks...confused LOL)
I'll be with my brother and his family. smile
anyone have any advice on taking a cruise or tips for being in bermuda?

Are you just going to Bermuda?

Typically if you're going to different islands you want to be ready to leave as soon as the ship docks. If you sleep in then you have limited time to do what you want because the ship will need to leave in order to get to the next place. Which is usually 5 or 6pm. I learned that lesson!

I've never been to Bermuda but I hear it's amazing. Rent a scooter and explore the island.

And HAVE FUN!

Maybe ask Milty, he's from Bermuda.
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I'm going back July 10-15 for my 42nd birthday--ALONE!!! woot! a fan cruise with the baltimore ravens!!!!

things to know:

1. not really a "fun" place destination. when i went in 2006, everything was shut down by 7pm, except the late night wednesday, which was 9 pm eek

2. expensive as hell!!! everything had a markup of like 200% from what u would pay here in the states

3. to get around you have to walk, rent a scooter, catch a cab (expensive) or catch the bus. the traffic flows like in england, opposite of ours. so when you want to go somewhere on the other side of the island, prepare early.

NOW THE GOOD STUFF!!

the most electric blue water you will ever see in your life cloud9
fish swim up to you
gorgeous pink sand beaches
if you want to just some "me' time, this is the place.
nice people, you really don't feel like you're out of the country at all. everybody speaks "american" lol

MAKE SURE YOU SWIM WITH THE DOLPHINS (expensive though like $200)

i flew last time, so i'm gonna enjoy my me time on the boat.

let me know how it went

go easy on the drinks on the boat! It's so easy to indulge when you're not whipping out cash for each drink.

Cool!!! thanx so much for the advice. I think we plan on getting the 3 day bus pass or something like that...I think it covers the ferry too. We'll be docking at Kings Warf which I guess is not that exciting...so we'll want to travel around a bit....and with traffic going the wrong way...I don't think I'm gonna try to drive anything. lol

I do...or atleast I did...Not sure anymore...I know at some point they were gonna start charging for listening online....but either way...I wouldn't mind sitting down to watch 1 hour of lost but I don't think I'll be sitting at a computer for 4 to 5 hours to listen to howard. lol maybe just an hour or so..

Never been on a cruise.
We go on vacation soon too. We're doing an all-inclusive, which I've also never done.

The boss I used to work for years ago is from Bermuda (Paget) and has a guest house. He even showed me and my office mates a postcard with it on it cool He told me it's very expensive and you drive on the wrong side of the road. A common mode of transporation is the moped. When he retired he went back to Bermuda.

We keep in touch.

We're going here:
http://www.secretsresorts...lversands/

Food/liquor (top shelf)/most activities all included in the price @ booking the trip.

We're gonna do this: http://xelha.com/ while there one day, but probably do the resort stuff on the rest of the trip. Just chill.
