My daughters growing up.

Today is my little 5 year old girls first day of school today.

My wife took her in today and apparently she shed a few tears. She was a little shy.

My little girls growing up too quickly. cry

Before you know it, she'll be graduating. sad

It seems like just yesterday I had my first day of Kindergarten. I cried every day that year. Let us hope your daughter doesn't get that homesick.

My mother used to do something like that. Sort of. She used to walk me out to the bus stop each morning, and then she'd kiss the palms of each of my hands a few times, so that way I'd have that when I felt sad.

I dont think she will be that bad. She coped with kindergarten well, it's just that now she has to start all over at school. It must be daunting to have to meet all those new people and make friends etc.

Not to get away from the intended "cuteness" of this
story, but...why so late in the school year??? confuse

I too have a 5 yr old girl...nod, cute age!
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

All those new faces can be frightening. A new teacher and making new friends, can seem daunting to a kid. I was terrified of my teacher at that age for some reason. I just saw this huge unfamiliar figure with big hair and I didn't like it.

I remember doing that 2...

My daughter entered high school last Sept.'02. She's 15 now, and I remember clearly her going in2 Kindergarten! I don't know who cried more, her or me (after she was in the class, of course!).

In '01, my son Andres entered Kindergarten... same ol' me - I was caught up with emotion! He was fine.

In Sept. '02, my youngest (5 yr. old) Alex entered Kindergarten. I was less emotional, but teary eyed just the same. I had 2 laugh, however, when he asked, "Dad, aren't you gonna leave?"

Ugh. It never gets easier.

Well, good. I cried straight into first grade. I was a wuss. Mind you, I changed school as well from Kindergarten to first grade, but I continued to cry. What a wuss I was! biggrin

But I don't cry anymore! I'm a soon-to-be (hopefully) governor's scholar. Oh yeah! beer beer

...Ehem, sorry. Carry on about your daughter.

Just today my mom reminded me of my first day of school.

After school I got on the wrong bus so when my Mom went to the stop to pick me up I didn't get off with the other kids. I remember the bus driver saying last stop and I just started crying because I wasn't anywhere I knew.

Well, Kirby, if you insist! beer

Not exactly advanced word. I don't know if I'll actually get it or not, but at this point, it's an accomplishment it was even sent off...

Thank you, you fucking program and school board. finger

At any rate, I'm just happy my work didn't get thrown away based on what some guidance bitch wrote about myself, and the other applicants, that was judged by a bunch of punk asses, rather than what I wrote, or the things I've achieved or participated in...What came from me. Even my little paragraph about what makes me unique...Heh heh, it was very unique.

I'm most certain no one else in the state can use what I did for the unique shit. That must be worth some points. lol

I don't even care if I get it...I'm just glad I have the chance.

I'll stop jocking your thread, really I will. sad

My wife cried when our daughter started Pre-School, so you can imagine what she'll be like in 4 years time. lol
Take lots of photos of her in her school uniform. You'll be wondering where the little girl went in a couple of years time.
