How do you feel about hunting?

I recently went to a rifle range to help clean up the casings, and while there, this man showed up with his brand new gun that he was happy to say that he paid $1,500.00 for,and another $1,000.00 for the scope. I have never understood why anyone would want to go hunting. You are basically entering the animals home (territory),and killing them. I honestly don't see how one could find guning down a deer, bird, bear, whatever it is that these hunters are going after,a good time. Just my opinion, but I would never be able to do it.

How do you feel about this?

Hunting isn't my thing but I'm not bothered if people eat what they hunt ...

if it's simply for sport, it makes no sense at all to me....

I don't have a problem with hunting, but it would be cool if hunters were limited to using their bare hands to kill, OG caveman style.

I used to go hunting fir food when I lived in a really rural area of England, it was also a form of pest control for the local farmers who's crops were ruined by pigeon and rabbits and we always ate what we shot

I moved away but I've had the chance to hunt again when I returned but said no thanks...I've realised, for me it's more aboutbthe dressing up, hiding, the skill more than the kill and I felt guiltybthe kast tine u shit something...nit much point going if your just going tongide and not shoot.

For the right reasons - food, pest control etc I have no probs with itbtaking place - it's a traditional way of agricultural life where I'm from. BUT I do have an issue with needless bloodsports like Fox Hunting done just for fin and with suffering in mind

I don't hunt, and don't think I could just from not having been raised around it. But as I get older I am realizing that for meat eaters hunting is the most ethical way. Also the healthiest.

I don't like it. At all.

My family hunts and fishes (same thing, really). My brother hunts deer every year. Of course, they eat the venison. I did too when I was a child.

Hunting for sport is downright appalling to me. It's less so if you plan to make use of the animal but I just don't think any animals should be harmed so that people can live.

My dad and younger brother are pretty big into hunting, which they do eat what they kill. I can't bring myself to do it though.

I'd much rather see the animal be shot than processed.

Depends what people mean by hunting, as I said, for food o fully understand it but I strongly disagree with bloodsports...nothing justifiable about fox hunting; dressing up in ted coats, charging around on horses blowing a trumpet and prancing around with s pack of starved dogs...chasing a petrified fox until it us too exhausted to continue and having the starving hounds rip it to shreds....motherfuckers

My husband hunts and is crazy about it. He is insane for waterfowl hunting. He has such a hard time getting up for work in the morning or church on Sundays, but he will set his alarm for 4 a.m. during duck season to get a good spot before everyone else.

We have a freezer full of duck, goose, squirrel, rabbit and venison. I've tried it all, but really can only stand duck meat. I will eat a venison roast if it's cooked right. I'm just not crazy about meat period. I don't have a problem with wild game. In fact, I think it is a healthier choice over factory-farm raised animals.

If you are a meat eater, then I don't see why you would have problems with hunting. It's the circle of life.

In Michigan, we have such a problem with deer, that they basically have to be hunted.
