disbelief

she. is. wrong.

$8 tip for a $164 + bill in an upscale restaurant? talk to the hand please. that's wrong.

i mean, it's not even an issue of bad service she's ranting about there, it was just her and her friends not feeling like leaving a tip at a restaurant where the prices were kind of high.

fact is, tipping is how it's done, disagree or not, she knows the score.
she needs to stick with McD's and taco bell.

Amen the lengths people go to and try to justify their cheapness. Its digusting.

nod yeahthat

i said i'm not tipping some guy in shorts and a tshirt in a dive bar to squirt some soap in my hand. i'm not gonna tip a person who hands me a beer out of a bucket of ice. u make me a drink at the bar? u get a tip. u valet park my car--u get a tip. u serve me my food at a restaurant, u get a tip. every fucking thing u do in the world doesn't deserve a tip==it's called doing your fucking job. get the fuck over it. lol

And again, people doing those jobs literally depend on tips. That's how it works. If you don't like it, do something about it.

i did..i said thank you. there was 2 or 3 dollars in the bathroom tip jar, but dozens of guys had gone in to use toilet. if they felt it was a service worth tipping, i'm sure the jar would be more full. it's a useless and invasive service. what next? wipe my ass for me for a tip? lol

I'm not arguing the point that it's a pointless service. It is. I can get my own soap, thanks.

But that doesn't change the fact that that person depends on customer tips to keep the heat on and buy food. Like eighty billion people have already pointed out to you, employers deliberately pay below the minimum wage (which is already chronically too low) with the expectation that the remaining money will be made up for with tips. And guess what? Somebody who works a job like that likely is not able to find better work. No one would be a bathroom attendant if they had a real choice in the matter.

Your not tipping might mean the soap guy you sneer at is eating cat food for dinner. You're been told this already on this thread and before.
