Thanks, you guys. It really is just like I said - I can rationalize it all I want (he’s a jerk, I’m attractive even if I am a fatty, etc.) and most of the time that wins out, but it still stings.

I think whistle hit the nail on the head, too. I lost 50 pounds last year and have maintained that for the last 5-ish months and most of the time I feel really good about that, but this is just a big reminder that it’s not enough.

Sorry you were hurt, people can be unbelievably hurtful. btw, can we see your thighs? I bet theyre gorgeous.

Where I live people take pride it being rude. They equate being rude with being real. mad If my sister wasn't living here I would be out of here on the next greyhound.

Fuck it. shrug We are who we are. And the reality is you just may have thunder thighs.

Whatever you got, work it. Work it like a second job and in whatever manner works for you.

Some people are looking at this woman like barf while others are going drool

omg. That thought never possibly occurred to me. I'm so happy you pointed that out.

I suppose I should be thanking this man for pointing out my flaws to me since I apparently can't see them on my own. I will be sure to do that next time.

When you get a moment you can read the rest of my post. hug And when you get a moment you can send me an orgnote containing a list of all the universal flaws. Flaws. disbelief I'm curious as to how many I may possess. Bushy eyebrows? Hairy body? Pot belly? Glasses? Light-skin? neutral A person needs to know these things,so they can worry endlessly about correcting them in case, you know, they need to ride the bus somewhere and not worry about upsetting the perfect passengers.

*insert sarcasm here*

shrug Fuck it. You are working hard to become the person you want to be, the person you are comfortable with. When you get there, there will STILL be people that have some bullshit to say. Always. What then? There comes a time when you have to accept who and what you are, sooner or later. Life will hand you enough bullshit and critics. Why become your own worst enemy?

I get what you're saying. And even acknowledged the very notion earlier in the thread. All logical and rational thought says not to pay some random strangers nasty comment any mind. But it does sting (as I also pointed out), precisely because it's something that I am sensitive and insecure about. I don't think there's anything wrong in acknowledging that. I've got feelings. shrug

My point isn't that I don't have huge thighs. My point is that it's RUDE to point out other people's flaws unasked and unprovoked. And there's no place for it in polite society. That's all. I was ranting. Not looking for a self-esteem solution. lol
