Rumor has Ray Allen going to Miami to join Bosh and Wade during the off-season. Apparently Allen and other Celtic vets resent Rondo's taking over. Heard this on sports talk radio.

Rumors Fly That Ray Allen May Bolt to Miami:

Shortly before Sunday night's Game 5 between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers, the New York Daily News published an article claiming Ray Allen may bolt the Celtics for the Miami Heat in the summer.

The New York Daily News stated, "The latest buzz has Ray Allen looking to bolt the Celtics when he becomes free on July 1 to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami." They added, "Sources close to the Celtics' veteran shooting guard say that he's not exactly thrilled that Rajon Rondo is playing a more prominent role in the offense, and is looking at Miami as a potential destination."

Sources and the latest buzz might not be the most reliable place to look. Ray's always been a team player so it's hard to imagine he'd be upset with Rondo playing a more prominent role.

Allen, whose contract is up with the Celtics in merely 16 days, has a big decision to make about his future. The Celtics certainly want him back.

"I think I've said in the middle of the year, hopefully we sign Ray back," head coach Doc Rivers said. "I think I can say that, if not I just got fined [for tampering]."
