I wonder what Chris was saying, lol. They said he was heckling him all game. HE said "where is Eddie Jones" or something like that. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Please. Only unknowledgable haters make statements like that. I was born in Portland, so I follow the Trailblazers. Jordan came into the league the year I started playing ball as a kid, so I follow the Bulls. My team is the Warriors (sucks for me), because I've lived in the Bay Area for the last 20 years. But I grew up visiting and occasionally living with my Grandparents in SoCal. My Grandpops was a LOYAL Laker fan from the time they moved to LA, and an EXTREME (like, spitting mad) Celtics hater. So from there I get my love of the Lakers and hatred for the Celtics. However, I don't think at any point in this thread have I said "Kobe" is going to win a title. I'm pretty sure that every time I've said "the Lakers". So, really, you might want to take a closer look at whose nuts you're circling their yourself. Hater.

Well, since the Lakers won, Phil had already dogged Chris earlier in the game AND he looked like a fool on national live tv with Kobe stone facin' him, I'm gonna give the win to Kobe (yes, that's right, I actually said Kobe - omg! I must be swinging on his nuts now ). To be honest, I thought all four of them looked foolish sitting there. I'm sure the producers of their new movie paid a small fortune for that genius bit of LAME marketing. Hopefully some real fans can get those seats in game two.

You mean, there, I'm sure. It's eastern standard time over here, sugar lump. Being in NC and GA, it's always a couple of hours ahead for me. Also being a UNC grad, I know all about Jordan and his path. I actually liked the Lakers while Sam Perkins was there...like being used lightly.
Until the Hawks can get it together enough to make it past the first round of playoffs, I'll root for old stand by. Besides, another UNC alum is on the Celtics anyway. Yes, he has to get high to play, but I love Rasheed anyway. He can still give a few good rounds.
I follow Kevin Garnett because he really only started playing ball in high school and was drafted right out of high school. Pretty much raw talent to me. Unlike the other one. Just me. Plus Kobe really lost me when he decided to use a Martin Luther King Jr quote to argue his innocence during the rape thing. He was done from then on. Oh yeah, and then putting the rest of his team on blast for fucking around. He banged the wrong groupie and used an MLK quote and put his whole team out there...naw....didn't care for him after that.
Perhaps I could ease up, since a UNC alum is the general manager of the Lakers, but I just can't. You're either a west or east person I guess. It's always that time zone here.

Uhh, let's see here. You pointed out a spelling error, which would normally automatically make you douche in my book. But then you called me sugar lump, which actually made me laugh. So I can let your douchebaggery slide. You claim you once liked the Lakers because they had a second tier player their team. Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett were both drafted directly from high school, but KG is somehow better because he was "raw talent"? Kobe Bryant was found innocent on all counts, in case you missed how that went down. Ever been in that situation? I doubt it. But I'm sure you'd feel differently if you thought your life was being taken away for a crime you didn't commit. And I have no idea what time zones have to do with anything. I'm a fan of NBA basketball. I follow teams all over the league. The ones I listed are just my favorites. But if I'm going to follow a team, especially as much as I suffer with the Warriors, I like to see them play good basketball and maybe, ya know, win! The Lakers do that, and they do it well. Seventy-five percent (at least) of what people say about them is just random hate. It has nothing to do with actually talking basketball. Because if it did, they'd have very little negative to say.

I've seen Chris at games, sure. But not packed right in there so close to the bench that he could actually get in Phil's way and talk smack to Kobe. And certainly not with all his buddies from a movie that's about to be released. That was all studio publicity. And if you saw ten more seconds of the clip posted above it would show Chris Rock looking all silly and foolish because a camera was on him and he didn't get a reaction out of Kobe. It was actually a little embarrassing.

Dude, I'm FEMALE! first of all. And secondly, perhaps if you had GRADUATED from a school that you were pretty proud of attending perhaps you'd feel different.
And secondly, quoting MLK for fucking a groupie is a NO PASS! Plus, I was saying EST because I'm on the East Coast, ass. If you're a "fan" of NBA ball then you would like it all and not come off as a "I almost made it pro" elitist attitude.
Also, I cannot follow your thoughts when they're rammed into one enormous block of banter. Push your enter key once in a while.

Aahahahahaa!! First, you said secondly twice AND admitted that you can't follow a few simple sentences placed together without line breaks. It's not even a long paragraph, really. And the structure of your reply is just all kinds of gramamtically incorrect. So, wow! You should be VERY proud of whatever school you graduated from. (That's sarcasm, btw. Don't want to cause any further confusion for you.) SECONDLY, you contradicted yourself when saying if you were a fan you would like it all. The entire reason I replied to you to begin with is because you were Laker hating. So by your own logic, you must not be a fan of the NBA. Lastly, your mention of the Eastern time zone, or times zones in general, still makes absolutely NO SENSE, ass. You're a woman? Yeah. I'm not doubting that at all. Trust me.

So who is your favorite team. You can root for whomever you want but i generally ignore fans who say i got 2,3,4 teams in one sport. If my Bulls don't win this year, i hope my other team the Lakers win it. Riiight! Don't laugh at my funk

Oh I'm HARD CORE Warriors fan. I even had season tickets a couple times. But come on, we suck! I root for the Warriors against all others, without question. If they are playing the Lakers or the Trailblazers I am absolutely screaming GO WARRIORS!!! at the top of my lungs. But when it became clear they were going to continue riding the suck train six or seven years ago I dropped the season tickets and started getting NBA Season Pass every year. So now I watch a few hundred games a season, which absolutely lends itself to having knowledge of WAY more teams. I'll watch any two teams play if the Warriors or Lakers aren't playing at the same time. In that regard, you can't really help getting attached to some of them and hoping they do well. But I ALWAYS root for the Warriors, then the Lakers, then the Trailblazers. I can pull for the Bulls sentimentally all the way to the finals because they come out of the East.

You know how they lose MAD leads. When I saw L.A. had closed in on them I said "oh shit, Kobe gonna get 'em". Turn around Boston was back up by five lol
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Good time to join the bandwagon, because that's as good as they can play. Barely won without Ray's three pointers.
Timmy84 said: Oh wow Boston kept the lead all the way through this time lol
They didn't keep the lead the entire time. The Lakers came back, tied it and took the lead at one point.
And I'm really not talking smack to either one of you... I'm just being a disgruntled Laker fanboy at the moment.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I'm not much of a fan of either but I'm looking at it like a critic, like the teams always fuck up. Both teams had moments of fucking up, seems L.A. had more fuck-ups this time than Boston did the first game. We'll see what happens in Game 3. That'll be interesting.

That Rondo was impressive. I really haven't payed the Celtics much attention until tonight, so I was surprised at how well they played as a team. And OF COURSE that dang Ray Allen is still tearing up the net, so they were pretty exciting. I hope you're wrong and they continue to play well, lol.
I've kinda needed a new team to cheer for anyway, since my man Iverson is on leave or whatever, and the Bulls (my former team) broke my heart when they traded John Salmons. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

1. RONDOOOOOO!!!
2. Why are the refs so fucking foul happy? Bad calls on both sides last night.
3. Will someone tell Jack Nicholson to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up.
4. Will Kobe please fix those god awful tattoos?
