I guess CarrieLee will be sporting that tee when the Lakers hit Boston.

Ha! We'll see!!! Laker's are tough, but it's going to be an exciting series. Both of these teams bring great basketball.
I would have much rather lost to the Suns, losing to the Lakers will hurt...ouch!

Each team can win on the other's home court - no doubt it's going six, seven games. It'll be tough, nasty & physical. Lakers still remember the ass-whippin' from two years ago. Kobe will be FOCUSED!

I think the keys to this series will be Boston's bench and their defense. With "Baby", back on the bench it makes them a more well rounded team. Baby can be used more effectively from the bench and the leave room for Garnet to do his thing. If the game is close, they can use Nate and Rajon, in tantum to get the job done. I see it going 7 games, with Boston on top. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

I'm not a fan of either team but i certainly hope the Lakers put a country ass whippin on the Celtics. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Kobe will never be Michael Jordan, but he's the closest to him. Who's a better finisher and more clutch than this cat? I do believe LeBron will get there one day, but not now.
Kobe and Mike are a lot a like in many aspects of their game, inculding their selfish play. But I agree that, for now, MJ still takes the crown. However, don't expect Kobe to retire more than once, and that's going to be a long time from now. So when it's all been written, we may feel differently. Kobe's clutch gene is outrageous, though. He's a special player in that regard, for sure.
What's different about LeBron than Kobe or Jordan is, imo, he's feeling the pressure and it may be getting to him a little. Mike Brown was NOT a bad coach, but I think it will be good for LeBron to be getting some different instructions next year. He's stagnated, does the same things each time down the court and at the end of games. He just needs to relax and let things come to him a bit more. And he needs to realize that there is a huge number of GREAT players in the NBA's past who only have one ring, maybe two. Only people who played in Chicago, LA or Boston have handfuls of rings. That's messed up.

Yep, that's what I'm talking about. Kobe, Jordan, Magic, Bird, Kareem, Hakeem, all the greats - they LAUGHED at pressure - they welcome it. Look at what Magic did in Game 6 of the 1980 Finals in his rookie season. They TAKE GAMES OVER. I didn't see that from LeBron against Boston.
Like I said in an earlier post, you give LeBron a coach like Pat Riley or the late Chuck Daly and I guarantee his game will go up. Those guys got the best out of their players, no matter what team they coached. Larry Brown too, but he's a pain-in-the-ass who wears out his welcome real fast.

Fisher has 2 be the most underrated assassin of all time. Nobody ever talks about this guy and all he does is hit clutch shots.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
He'll have his hands full with Rondo.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
This is going 2 be a GOOD one I think.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
If Rondo gets too out of hand, Phil may do something crazy and put Kobe on him, who knows?

I have no idea how I jacked up my previous post so bad. Thanks for reading it and responding, anyway.
I would love to see LeBron with Pat Riley. And I don't even think Miami's current Riley protege is bad. I'd just like to see Riley have another go at it with LeBron and D-Wade. That would be sick. It would be easy to get roll players to sign for little money and play hard, too. Because they'd be thinking title all the way with those three guys a part of the team. I don't think Riley will come out of retirement for anything less, though. And for some reason I'm just not as excited about the possibility of D-Wade moving to Cleveland. Even though they have a better roster than Miami right now.
Man... I hate Larry Brown. He grates. And he's a turncoat and a backstabber.
Much rather see LeBron with somebody like Doug Collins. He also coached Jordan and has consistently been a winner.

I just read Hakeem's going to work with Dwight Howard this summer. That's great news. [Edited 6/1/10 14:33pm]

Might be 2 late. | |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Nah, Dwight's still a kid. All he has to do is shut up, sit down and listen to The Dream. If he can develop offensive skills like Yao, look out.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Bad habits are HARD 2 break. If he learns anything from Dream, lookout NBA.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
True about old habits. But Dwight's only 24. If he's willing to "unlearn what has learned", Boston will be forced to double him next May.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
If this guy learns 2 focus when he has the ball, that will be a site 2 see. Scary thought.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Exactly. The key is making the right decision BEFORE he's hit with the double-team.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Correct. But I predict Boston wins within 6 games.

Mmm, bad news on Bynum's knee.

I'm getting excited. It is ON 2night. Lakers in 7. (I hope)
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Alright folks..................who wins the title? I have the lakers in 7. U?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I say Celtics in 7, for the reasons I stated before. The Celtic bench, Rondo and Nate Robinson. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Celtics are in trouble if they have to rely on Nate Robinson. He had one good game. I need to see him do it a few more times before I'm convinced he's matured.
