Mike Brown has to go. We need a coach who knows what the hell he's doing, we have the talent, we just don't have a good coach.

Did Brown go from being the best coach in the NBA in 2009 to a total idiot in just one year?

Or did the voting collective just not know what they were doing last year when they voted him Coach of the Year?

Not trying to be snarky, just fascinated how the perception of someone can change so much in so short a time.

Mike Brown was never "the best coach" he won coach of the year cause the Cavs won 66 games last season.

Maybe so. Red Auerbach only had six plays but did OK with the Celtics.

My question is, if his sets are so bad, how did the Cavs lead the NBA in victories for the last two years? Was no NBA team able to figure out how to defeat high school sets until the conference finals/second round of the playoffs?

Keep in mind, I picked the Cavs to win it all, so I'm not some Cav hater. I just think LeBron is a great player but at this point, not a champion.

He won coach of the year because LeBron James made him look smart just
as a lot of superstar players make their coach look.

LOL, then LeBron made him look dumb in the playoffs by not showing up much of the time. And that's my point.

IMO, the one coach who would have been perfect for LeBron was the late Chuck Daly. Look at the egos he dealt with in Detroit. Phil Jackson is good at managing egos too. Larry Brown is a HOF coach, but his abrasiveness and whining rubs veterans the wrong way. He's perfect for a young team that needs to be taught. Larry likes to break players down and mold them in his image, especially his point guards. LeBron would not put up with Larry constantly riding him on every play. If the superstar doesn't buy into the coach's system, the coach is finished(see Paul Westhead in LA, Bill Fitch in Boston, Don Nelson in NY).

And I disagree with LeBron - his legacy IS being written now. Fans want to see how he'll respond. Will he come back with a vengeance like Magic, Larry, Michael & Kobe did after bad playoff losses?

Magic said it best - he wanted to see LeBron take that game over, be more assertive(Like Magic did in Game 6 of the '80 Finals)

Boston is NOT fucking around. They took it to the Magic, and should have won by double-digits. Very impressed with their D.

You think Boston may have had to do something with that. Boston just
flat out executed Cleveland in every phase of the game with the
exception of the 2 games. It's not like Boston was a scrub team to
begin with.

The Magic lost their 1st playoff game and everyone down there is tripping. They will be fine but Howard needs a focus more when he gets the ball in the box. Flipping up those weak shots against a good defense is NOT going 2 work.

You'd think from working with Patrick, Dwight would have a better offensive game by now.

That backing-down shit won't work against this tough Celtics defense. If Dwight had a signature shot, he'd make Boston pay for playing him one-on-one.

Yeah he is kind of in the same boat when Shaq first came in the league.
Shaq was just a power guy that would just bowl people over and dunk on them
but once he developed a low post game he became more a more versatile and
dangerous low post player.

I never notice until 2day the R. Lewis the forward 4 the Magic is the same height as Howard but he has no post game and is a finesse player.

It's funny how people in general turned so quick on the Cavs. They were a great team this year. That last game the only one involved was Mo Williams and Lebron scored ok but had too many turnovers. If it wasn't for Varejo ( Mr. Flopper) they would still be in the playoffs. That guy spends too much time crying and flopping for fouls instead of playing the game. If they had a true power forward they would smoke everybody. Jameson is good shooter but you need somebody to guard Garnett.

Funny? The playoffs are about game 2 game adjustments by succesful teams. The Cavs never made any adjustments. BAD coaching.

Your right. Where was delonte west? Even though I hate him, He would of been a better defender on Rondo. Where was Gibson? He's a good Three point shooter. Plus don't they have Powe on the Cavs? Where was he?
