If i was a team like the Colts that didn't have many pressing
needs i'd probably take a flyer on him in the 4th round but
a team that has immediate needs through the first 4 rounds,
there's no way i'd take him.
If Roger Goodell is gonna be strict on players about personal
conduct,it should extend on down to owners and coaches.

He already has - didn't he fine the Titans owner for flipping the bird? I know he met with Jets owner Woody Johnson for questioning his integrity. I heard Big Ben was read the riot act yesterday. So expect Jerry to get a phone call real soon.

BTW - Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins. Great move, giving Henne a big target.

Yeah i can't understand how the steelers brilliant front office didn't take
more than 2 minutes to get a better deal for Santonio Holmes.

I just saw this on ESPN. OMG!! That is some funny stuff. I guess you can chalk this up to Jerry being Jerry.

If Santanio Holmes was, and video shows it wasn't even him that threw the glass, then I can't see how Rothliesberger avoids a suspension.

Of course he is. I'm all for him getting suspended one
or two games but if it's anything more all hell will
break loose and it could set a bad precedent particularly
since he wasn't charged or arrested with anything.

Yeah, but if you listened to the prosecutor's press conference, something's fishy about this whole thing. Why are Ben's boys guarding the door preventing the girl's friend from getting to her?

I knew he was inncocent in that case. That chick Anshonae Mills had
4 prior convictions on her record and her lawyer had just opened
his practice 4 weeks earlier.(smell that money)Santonio wrote his
own ticket out of town with the substance abuse problem. We won't
ever know what it is but if it was for smoking doobies again the
steelers weren't going to put up with it.
As for the comparison with Ben,the motorcyle accident is irrelevant
because although it was not smart, it isn't illegal to ride a motorcycle
in PA without a helmet and he was only driving 15 to 20 mph when he
got hit from behind by an old lady. As far as the Lake Tahoe accuser,he
immediately denied the allegation and filed a countersuit so that would
lead most to believe he was innocent there particularly with the timing of the accuser's complaint. This whole GA incident was just
plain irresponsible on his part considering there's already a civil suit
against you. A person in his position should never drink alcohol in public
with females you just met because you're asking for a trouble. Drink the
alcohol in the privacy of your own home responsibly.

The same reason if you go to a seedy strip club there is a sectioned
off area with rooms and curtains. As the Dazz Band would say Let It
All Blow.

But you know as well as I do, Big Ben dodged a bullet. If he wasn't the franchise QB, he'd be gone with Santonio.

Of course and when you talking about the steelers
front office anything is possible. It's already rumors
that the Rams are offering a 1st rounder this year and
next for Big Ben. The only thing about that the steelers
front office is too damn cheap to pay the top pick in the
draft so i know it won't happen there.
The steelers got to think rationally here. A franchise qb
like Ben is once in a lifetime and there are plenty of
players in the league who've been giving second chances
i.e Leonard Little. Big Ben however better take the advice
of folks telling him to be more responsible because one more
brain fart and he's done in Pittsburgh.

Absolutely. But I'm pretty sure Big Ben's getting hit with a civil suit.

There's a lot of the unknown in this case. It was stated that
there was a superficial laceration in her vaginal area when
she went to the hospital when she was examined. Her sorority
sisters initially stating that nothing happened on their Facebook
page then quickly taking it down. Rumors that Ben initially said
that there was no sexual contact and then saying it was consensual
sex. No one will ever know.
