Why I Give Marijuana to My 9 Year Old Son No, not me.
But this article was really interesting. It's a well-written mother's account of her experiences with her autistic son. She says marijuana cookies drastically reduced his aggressive and violent behaviors, improved his sleeping, and lifted his mood.

She describes the first time:
"We made the cookies with the marijuana olive oil, starting J off with half a small cookie, eaten after dinner. J normally goes to bed around 7:30 p.m.; by 6:30 he declared he was tired and conked out. We checked on him hourly. As we anxiously peeked in, half-expecting some red-eyed ogre from Reefer Madness to come leaping out at us, we saw instead that he was sleeping peacefully. Usually, his sleep is shallow and restless. J also woke up happy."

Well wriiten.
We have a child with aspergers, and I well remember the schools telling us we needed to do something (including bluntly being told he should be on ritalin) Now I'm older than movies, Now I'm wiser than dreams, And I know who's there

Well if youre going to medicate go natural. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

I doubt thc really helps anyone, but with all the drugs they give to kids I am going to say 'why not.'
But a few points " Yet the drug has never been tested for long-term safety in children and carries a severe warning of side effects" Nor has THC. The suggestion that it is safer is made up and not based on ANY legitimate study. Also did it say why he had the tumor? "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

Doesn't giving kids marijuana increase their chances of paranoia compared to normal adults as their minds havn't fully developed yet? Something like that?

Well written.
My mom took marinol. I'm debating whether it would be overstepping any line to forward this article to my neighbors. They have an autistic child.

My mom had me smoking weed when I was 8. I stopped at 11. Just didn't need it and didn't want it.
My mom stopped when she smoked a joint lace w/ angle dust and she was freaking out. She left it alone after that, we both quit around the same time and she gave away like 8 HUGE plants to the neighbors.

"My son gave me this plant....it has such ugly flowers, I can't imagine why he thought I would like it?" My mom was too hip for her own good... she was a disco queen, blue eyeshawdow and very sparkly leggings and lots of cleavage. I loved her platform shoes! One pair even had wheels!.

Five people I know of developed schizophrenia because of pot.....but they smoked HUGE amounts of it. I´m all for legalizing it and don´t find it dangerous at all but people under 20 should stay away from it or only use it two or three times a month. Moderation is key when it comes to MJ. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

This is going to sound mean and like I'm trying to provoke an argument, which could not be further from the truth....but Those statements are ignorant.

there's been plenty of studies about the adverse effects of THC...depending on what you read or who you believe these effects can range from paranoia to weakening of the immune system...
I think anybody that's used marijuana can attest that it can create a sense or paranoia (still subjective to say the least) but the jury is still out on the immune system findings because -atleast last I heard- it had only been tested in lab animals... one thing that's consistent among the studies is that it's basically impossible for humans to die from THC because of it's low toxicity...you'd be hard pressed to find many prescription or over the counter medications that can claim the same... the human body generally fights anything introduced to it that would cause it harm...we all know that some things are too much for the body to stand and that the battle is eventually lost...the body stores THC, doesn't reject it whatsoever...to me, that speaks volumes.... I fully understand the need to somewhat control recreational use of mj...it makes sense...but those that totally reject the notion that it has a valid use in medicine are way too blinded by anti drug propoganda...

I believe that it's a drug like any other. Useful in some medical circumstances, but not to be abused.
And probably better for you than lots of man-made treatments, because it's at least natural! I know it's not aurora borealis... that makes the sky this way.
