Family Guy is the most retarded piece of cartoonery and it's too simple - any 12 year old could write that crap. South park is far more creative and amusing and all out offensive at times. The last episode I saw had me peeing my panties. It was hilarious because it intertwined KFC addiction, child mobsters, and medical yup. Family Guy is written by manatees (see the South Park episode, Cartoon Wars). It's nonsense and insulting to intelligence. South Park is genius American satire with well written jokes mixed in. Family Guy is for kids, South Park is for thinkers and thus Matt and Trey conceived the most clever American tv show. Randy is my fave too btw! [Edited 4/12/10 16:21pm] Family Guy is NOT for kids

South Park for me.
Family Guy is just a little more all over the place it seems. Almost too random.

South Park all the way.
A person's preference for either South Park or Family Guy usually dictates if I'll get on with you or not.

I think I find the graphics boring on south park. I also prefer simpsons to south park. although at this point simpsons are just too comfortable. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

The Simpsons got too modern after a while. But their best years were 1987-1995.
And for those that will be confused by "1987", they were originally a cartoon sketch for Tracey Ullman's show. To answer the question, if you want a crazy-ass family and crazy-ass plots, "Family Guy", if you want irreverent stupidity, "South Park". That said, "Beavis & Butt-Head" and "Ren & Stimpy" shits on them both. [Edited 4/12/10 19:11pm]

I love them both for different reasons. I love South Park, because I love that satirical take on all things celebrity and political. I love Family Guy for the characters. Specifically Peter and Stewie.

I think both shows have their moments, and I was a huge South Park fan back in the late 90's and early part of the 2000's, but I lost track of the show after a while, though I think their Family Guy/manatee send up was one of their best episodes ever,
Family Guy occasionally has some good episodes, particularly when they involve Brian and Stewie getting into some adventure, but the writing gets really uneven at times. I'm more of a Simpsons fan, though I admit their best seasons were in the early 90's when Conan O'Brien was the head writer for the show.

Cartman and Stewie ain't that diabolical. They're peanuts compared to Ren. stewie is a a blatant murderous psychopath. He probably murdered 10 to 15 people by now.Is ren worse than that? 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment
