Better than "Up"? We really enjoyed that.

I cried like an asshole during that montage of their relationship and aging together. neutral

I can't wait to see this! My nephew had a birthday this month, and I bought him a toy from the movie. It's a egg,and when you put it in water it disolves, and you get a dragon. smile

That was the only part of Up I liked. lol It was like it was a separate movie. In fact, it probably should have been.

I've seen the previews and I'm really iffy on this one. I'll think I'll wait and see if anyone calls me to go, versus arranging an outing myself.

The only thing I didn't like about it was the weird mix of accents. Other than that its great.

I've got to see this. I thought up was a charming movie.

I'm a sucker for animation so long as you're given a reason to care about the characters. Finding Nemo to me is probably the top of the bunch.

Hehehe. The boy is American, his father speaks English with a fat Scottish accent.

I wanna shag daddy's voice.

Saw the 3D yesterday as well and liked it quite a bit.

As for sad animated movies, The Iron Giant is probably the saddest I've seen along with a particular scene in Lilo and Stitch. That scene from Up ranks as well.

'Up' was probably my favourite movie last year, Russell FTW! I fell in love with that lil' fella, so damned cute.

As affecting as that opener was, for me the two bits that REALLY brought a lump to my throat and tears to my eyes was the bit with Russell and Karl around the camp fire, and the end where Russell is getting his badge, but his dad doesn't show up... man, that bit HARD.

it was FANTASTIC!! I loved every minute

The story is maybe a little predictable but it has lots of humor an the animation and the dragons design is to die for
