Your topics have become somewhat more cultured. (grin) In between the tits there's now civilised teasing to be had. And actual conversation. I now realise your... way of interacting then was due to being a youngster. Ermm, I mean, even younger than you are now. I never knew yer age until a few weeks ago. Or I knew earlier, but then forgot about it.

Also, two years ago, I was a bit fed up with Org. But after some much needed time away I am all good again.

I never will be a full-time Orger again, though. I now got Facebook. But it's nice to juggle them. Yeah, that's right; I said "juggle them".

I think it simply took me some time to fully realise that all of you were living people too, who have lives, personalities, humour, feelings and brains. I didn't really find out how to identify with the org and all the orgers until a couple of months ago.

I was not discreet enough when I joined GD; I just suddenly decided to drop the bomb and talk shit. My age made it even more difficult for other orgers to accept me and realise that I am also some kind of human being (even if a sometimes very annoying kind, I can imagine).

I think the turning point was me dreaming of Dan (in a time I was half-dead and cold inside). The org became some kind of home and I started to care about some of you. I know that my way of describing my thoughts and actions can sometimes be considered as egocentric, too precocious, ridiculous and boring.

Listen, You can be as ridiculous and as boring as you like; there's a reason we are all here, I suppose. But back then, when I had a multitude of problems of my own, I just did not have the patience to have an open mind about a rampaging nubie. (grin)

I know what you mean about this site, though; not about dreaming about Dan (wtf?) but about the Org being an, well, let's call it 'extended family'. You met PRB, so you know that meeting peeps on here can be amazing! Let's call her your Org Mom. I am more like weird uncle Steve.

She's hot, graceful, self-assured, classically stylish, charming and occasionally vulgar. Hot.

Sitting with her in a pub means that many, many men will ogle her and spill beer all over themselves when they walk past. The really drunk will try to chat her up, even if she's sitting there with a man. She's THAT kind of girl.

lol Shut up. You exaggerate. A lot. lol But thanks.

biggrin But I don't remember it happening. I was either too drunk or so into you that I didn't even notice.

What is this thread about again? Dave's English or something. Or his beauty. I can't remember.

Today was the final of the nationwide English language contest I qualified for after having won the federal state-wide competition.

Briefly, the jury wanted to disqualify me, because they couldn't believe I (or somebody from my family) was not a native speaker and it is not allowed to take part when you speak English at home or have been to an English-speaking country for more than four weeks once.

I made it to the final and everybody (even the jury) was convinced I would win, but then some arsehole from the jury said that he wants to disqualify me, because no person could get an accent like that from studying English at school. They realised they couldn't kick me out anymore, so they simply made sure I didn't win it, so I "only" made the second place.

It was a huge occasion with TV cameras everywhere and hundreds of people watching and everybody was baffled when I didn't win it. Even the winner came over to talk to me afterwards and said that she didn't understand why I didn't win.

Personally, I don't give a damn about whether I'm first or second or in 10th place, I just find it unfair that it seems like sometimes you get punished for your talents and the hard work you have put into something.

I'm very disappointed.

It took me a while to come into this thread because I've been pretty focused on myself this week and knew from the title this would require some "reaching out". lol

Who do you want me to kill? Just send names and addresses. stab mad

Sorry they did you wrong. That does suck. hug hug hug
