Why bathe a cat?! They are excellent at keeping themselves clean. Unless that cat had an unfortunate encounter with a skunk or a mud slide, no bathing is necessary. That damn contraption should be outlawed! mad

nod yeahthat I have never tried to bathe any of my cats, because they stay indoors anyway. I would hate to try to give them a bath, it would be like World War III. lol I have a tough enough time giving them medication when they're sick, so I can imagine that bathing them would not be fun either. lol
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Oh, lawd. Don't you just HATE that? I get so traumatized having to do that. The cats pick up on my tension and it makes it twice as hard!

I do hate it, and yes, cats definitely can sense it when you're tense. My dad has to help me give my cats their meds. He holds them down, opens the cat's mouth, and then I quickly squirt the liquid medicine in. lol The cat, in the meantime, is squirming, growling and meowing, like it's being TORTURED. falloff

Just remembered something. There are these things called Greenies Pill Pockets. They are like soft treats but have a hole in the middle so that a pill can be inserted, and the soft texture of the pocket allows it to hold the pill inside where the cat can't see it. I usually crush the pill so that it can't be spat out. The cats will usually gobble the whole thing down at once or chew. If any of the treat falls out, they will lick up the rest. No trauma! Great investment for the cat which cries hmph! and then wants to bitchfight

Meant to reply to psychodelicide about medicating a cat, but you get the idea. lol

Not surprisingly, the dog actually enjoyed the experience...

What a stupid idea. And anyway, who's so lazy they can't just bathe their dog the old-fashioned, far less traumatic way?
