All three look pretty good to me...I'll check them out very soon.

AMORES PERROS - Three interconnected stories about the different strata of life in Mexico City all resolve with a fatal car accident. Octavio is trying to raise enough money to run away with his sister-in-law, and decides to enter his dog Cofi into the world of dogfighting. After a dogfight goes bad, Octavio flees in his car, running a red light and causing the accident. Daniel and Valeria's new-found bliss is prematurely ended when she loses her leg in the accident. El Chiro is a homeless man who cares for stray dogs and is there to witness the collision.

MI VIDA LOCA - A compelling look at a microcosm of East L.A.'s Echo Park. Writer and director Allison Anders (GAS FOOD LODGING) lived in the neighborhood for many years with her daughter, inspiring her to make this film about life in a Latina girl gang. The film is sympathetic to these young women, presenting their stories honestly and with a visual flair that the subjects themselves would probably appreciate. The stories are told as a series of vignettes with different narrators, each with his or her perspective on the events portrayed. This approach allows the characters the opportunity to explain their actions, giving the audience a better understanding of behavior they might otherwise easily condemn. The key players are Mousie (Seidy Lopez) and Sad Girl (Angel Aviles), best friends who let local drug dealer Ernesto (Jacob Vargas) come between them. The film is a wonderfully realized slice-of-life: sometimes tragic, sometimes funny, and, despite its seemingly incongruously elegeiac tone, with a strong ring of truth.

FUERA DEL CIELO - In the devastated urban landscape of Mexico City, in the course of a day, the lives of a handful of characters intertwine. Malboro just got out of jail and goes looking for his brother, Cucu, who perhaps was the reason for his imprisonment. Over the course of 24 hours, they will have time to be reunited and forgive one another, but also to commit a robbery which leads them to mix with people of other social spheres.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

LOVED that! My friend Gale used action figures from the movie as her cake topper when she got married in December. She married a white French dude. She's black. When I saw the movie, I saw SO much of her and her mom's relationship in the characters.

Mine changed today:

I was surprised that target had a sign up that said "Available Today", yet I found ZERO copies. I found one at Walmart and snagged it. I couldn't find the BluRay to save my life. Not sure what's going on with it.

I saw the tour early on in Toulouse (that's in France, ya understand.)

I also saw him on the Cover to Cover tour in the 90s. I was there when Elton came on to sing Don't Let The Sun (do what you tend to get up to on Hampstead Heath of an evening) biggrin

Actually it was the last two shows from Earl's Court in 2008. He did two more shows after that, in Denmark and the United Arab Emirates. It was 2010 that he did the Oz shows. He had been at Earl's Court a year earlier for about 3 dates while initially touring Europe on the first or second leg of the tour.

These last two Earl Court dates, plus the Oz shows were considered "The Finals". I think outside of the north pole and the Bermuda Triangle, he's covered just about everywhere with this tour.

I love watching this DVD because I continually spot edits between the two shows. One minute he's in one spot, the next millisecond, he's somewhere else. Also, during "Too Funky", the conga player on stage changes from a dark headed guy (that is also a guitar player), and the regular gray haired goofy (in a good way) guy that you see through most of the show.

Well I knew all that, I was just to lazy to type it! lol Earls court was "supposed" to be the last, pissed ALOT of british folks off when it turned out it wasnt! The Oz shows came about because on his website the oz fans started a thread begging him to do it, all a bit more involved than that but interesting none the less biggrin
