The Last DVD's you bought?

I bought 2012 and Zombieland on Bluray the other night.
2012 looked good but it was pretty terrible I do like John Cusack in most things though.
I haven't watched Zombieland yet.I knew Woody Harrelson was in it but I didn't know he was in 2012 smile

I don't really buy DVDs anymore. The last blu-ray I got was this one yesterday:

Une femme mariée, fragments d'un film tourné en 1964 en noir et blanc drool

Edit: I also got these two last week:

Sherlock Holmes.

I don't know why people bitch about the move from quiet intellectualism so much. It's been a while since I read the books, but from what I remember the bitchy version of Sherlock that can fight is a closer interpretation.

I got a free DVD from Disney the other day. I got a birthday invitation to pick from one of five (or six?) DVDs for my birthday. I only paid $2.95 in shipping. I decided on Meet The Robinsons. I've never seen it, but I love Disney animation. That's probably my most recent acquisition.

Totally! Who didn't grow up on that stuff? Even my grandpa loved watching the coyote get his ass kicked all the time. haha I loved the orange monster in about 3 or 4 cartoons. He actually had a name - Gossamer. When I worked at the Warner Bros store in Minneapolis, I collected a lot of the Gossamer stuff. I even bought a couple of those Gossamer cartoons from iTunes a couple of years ago.

I actually collect the old warners Looney Tunes cartoons (I have all the "gold" series dvds- As I'm sure you know they don't repeat a single cartoon in that series. I avoid all other looney tune releases-cause they repeat cartoons.)

i got a shitload of the "banned" cartoons that they won't put on those releases, the racist and nazi ones. not necesarily all warners, but stuff that makes song of the south seem like a malcolm luther vandross birthday celebration. i got that on dvd too, zip a dee dooby brother

I love some of those. I've seen a few. There's a VERY old Gossamer cartoon that shows him coming to earth in a UFO. I've only seen that once.

Edit: I looked. I have the following Looney Tunes (they came in sets of two on iTunes):
Hair-Raising Hare / Bully For Bugs
8 Ball Bunny / Water, Water Every Hare
Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 century / The Scarlet Pumpernickel

This...

I thought it'd be a thriller - I mean it looks like a thriller, but it isn't. It's more of a melodrama about divorced and widowed people getting together.

It was okay, but not what I expected at all.

All though I do want all of them. I do find the racist cartoons hard to watch. My friend has some of the disney classic ones and they contain the racist stuff. I think for me-I just want them all-just to be complete.

i'm not a cartoon fan, so i just skipped through a few and saw all the coon and hitler reference. those cartoons were from about 60 to 70 years ago, so a lot has changed since then. they are perhaps interesting from a historians point of view

i used to like stuff like tom and jerry and loony tunes when i was a young kid, but although animation has advanced a lot, i don't appreciate it these days. perhaps because i associate animation with kids, so i don't appreciate a mature adult experience when faced with animation now, even if it's manga or hentai or whatever the fuck they call that fucked up rape porn cartoon shit they make now. wtf is going on in peoples heads if they wanna watch that shit, nevermind to make it. wtf is going on if people wanna make rape porn cartoons, others want to finance, produce, market and distribute it, and there is a market for people wanting to buy and watch it. if you get your kicks from watching porn cartoons instead of naked chicks, then your head is seriously fucked up and you need to do something about it
