I just saw a Centipede the size of a small cucumber

Thats hit is nasty.

It was just crawling up on the ground when a car ran over part of it, and well... it kind of died after that.

Lawd, it was NASTY.

Yall should look up "centipede eats mouse" on youtube, and you'll see a picture of what I'm talking about.

It's the most horrific looking thing ever---I'm not normally squeamish with bugs, but this shit was just nasty.

What Critters do you find nasty?

After having lived in the middle of the tropical rain forest with scorpios, spiders of all kinds, rats, snakes, cockroaches, big frogs and I don't know what other creatures I am used to a lot shrug.

What I do hate though are these:

I thought about you when I saw it and just busted out laughing falloff

OMG, the other night, I went to fill up my jug of water in the water-machine and as I approached the machine to put my money in it, I saw like 5 rats scurry away underneath a nearby car.
I just busted up laughing and thought of you falloff

Honestly, like serious says, you'll just get used to them.

None of the westerners here even react anymore. We just kind of shrug it off now. lol

The King Cobras and spitting cobras and palm-sized spiders might be harder to get used to though.

i hear you. the reason i never visit anywhere under the equator
is critters. snakes, bugs, scorpions and all that.

i'd love to go to afrika sometime but whenever i watch docus on
tv i just *know* that i'd be the one member of the party who'd
step on a snake the minute we got out the jeep.

Also, there's these weird ass lizards that like to hang out in public bathrooms and make funny noises.

My mom said the G.I.'s who used to be stationed in Thailand called them "FUCK YOU" lizards because they make a squeaking sound that sounds a bit like they're telling you off... "fuck you!"

Snakes don’t scare me either. lol Even though they probably should. There are no poisonous ones where I live and I grew up thinking they were neat. I’ve picked them up and held them and I’ve been bitten by them before, even. I still think they’re cool.

It’s JUST bugs/insects.

And bugs the size of small rodents means I’m going to run away screaming and crying. shake

I'm really worried about it, to be honest. This is a serious phobia. It's very possible I'll have a panic attack or something. I don't want to let it stop me from traveling there, but I am honestly really, really scared.

this here was in my laundry:

a snake in our car:

a frog on my shoes:

and another one in my laundry too:

scorpio in our kitchen

and a spider:

And I totally forgot to mention the bats who were living in our bedroom all the time, but there are no good photos of them just like of the tarantulas in our bedroom and kitchen or the huge cokroaches.

There was a poisonous one just outside of our house once. Thank God the one that once was in our toilet was not whew. And the one in the car wasn't either, but it was huge as you can see on the photo.

You're gonna be alright comfort. I got used to that kind of life really quick. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Thank you, but I am so not lol. I get scared pretty easily nod. Not so much of animals though even though I don't like to touch insects. The only thing that was really annoying were the bats and the rat in our bedroom because of all the noise in the night mad. Oh and I once had a huge cockroach in my pillowcase omfg. And I always had some sorts of rather big bites on my legs in the morning, that sure was annoying too nod. The things you do out of love lol.

okay, so i sometimes, not alot go to my aunt ranch in mexico. to be precise nayarit mexico. i kinda like going there, but the bugs there are huge. fucking moths are double their size. but no kiddies, this story that i am talking about was about the time, a giant flying cockroach chased me down the street. so i was walking to the store to buy some cokes for this dinner my aunt family was having. as i stepped out in the street, all the sudden i heard this buzzing. i looked back and this flying cockroach lunged at me. i ran, the roach was still behind me. i was so scared, mind you the roaches i would see in my house were small and did they not fly! BUT THE ROACHES WERE HUGE AND THEY COULD FLY! I RAN FOR DEAR LIFE, i felt like ganymede being chased by one of zeus cockroaches in mexico.
