She's really pretty. Why did you guys break up? Is she a crazy bitch?

It's a long story, but essentially here is how it works.

I meet her in March 2000 at the tender age of 18. Marry her in May 2000. Go to boot camp four days later. Start living with her in August 2000. All is well initially. November 200 she is pregnant. All is still well.

She decides to stay at home with our daughter until she is school age. I am okay with that. That's only 4 years. She also decides we should go to church as a family. No big deal I knew she attended every Sunday prior to us getting together and even went with her.

Fast forward 6-7 years and my daughter has been in school for a while, she is sitting at home sleeping til damn near 2, I am driving my daughter to school, from school, helping her with homework etc. etc., and she does nothing. Also I am being urged to be more active in church, i.e. she wants to be married to a pastor. So me being an usher, attending men's retreats, hosting a Bible study at the house on Thursdays, going to another one somewhere else on Wednesday, Prayer Meetings on Tuesdays, Sunday service, Sunday school prior to that, an afternoon class after the service, reading to her nightly...and more, all of that was not enough. So I was supposed to make all these changes while she sat on her ass at home leaving me to do essentially everything. And when I would ask to sleep in on Saturday to get a break I was told that I get a break at work, because she has to deal with our daughter all day during the week (in the years before my daughter was school aged). Right.,.so I can't sleep in one day. It got to the point I was even making breakfast for HER as I came home on an 8:30 "lunch break" to take my daughter to school (because she didn't want her riding the bus, yet never got off her ass to get a license, o that means I get to report to work at 5 AM to make shit work.) because she would sleep in and not even feed herself.

There is more, but I have probably gone on enough. Now she lives with me, but as you can tell from the Easter thread, I don't get involved in church if I don't feel like it. I'll just as easily sleep in the car.

Is she crazy? Yup, certified crazy...

Shit she came back to the living room...gotta wrap this reply up.

and the moral of the story is.....don't get married to someone you've only known for 2 months. smile good luck to you...hope all works out.

people tried to tell me not to marry my husband because i had only known him a short time, sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. we've been together 8 years now. my parents met and married after knowing each other for only 2 weeks, they've been married 33 years now. i think it's always best to get to know a person very well before you proceed to marriage, but it does work out for some folks.

No she has no social life and sees me as her only friend. It's a hard burden to carry, but I would feel bad if I was like "No...we aren't friends. Call someone else." Not that I could even say that now with her living here.

As for the cooking and all, she has always been really good about that. All she ever wanted to do is be a wife I guess, like 1950's style wife who stays home and takes care of the house. She is a very clean person, so I could never knock her in that area. She keeps this apartment pretty clean while I am away. Plus she did take the snow off my car with a dustpan during that blizzard.

She isn't all bad, she has redeeming qualities I suppose. I just know I cannot be married to her.
