My brother and I are very different people. We didn't get along growing up and I only spend time with him now cause I adore his wife and kids. He's not a bad person, he's just kind of a redneck. He lives about an hour outside of Minneapolis in a small town and enjoys hunting and fishing and bad american beer and that sort of thing. You can see we don't have much in common.

He had my first niece when I was only 16, he was 21. He did not stay together with her mother, but had joint custody and my niece has always been a big part of our lives. She's 19 now and I'm her favorite aunt. I'm taking her to see Lady GaGa when she comes in August. She loves the fact that she gets to go with me. In fact, she's invited me out dancing with her friends. I always decline, though. She's really turning into a chip off the old aunty block. She colors her hair black and loves when I take her shopping and apparently has befriended all of the gay teenagers in her suburb.

My brother married later and has 3 more kids now, 2 boys age 4 and 6 and a girl age 8. They are all adorable. The 6 year old asked me yesterday when he could come spend the night at my house. At one point he also looked at me and said "Do you even have a child?" When I said no he asked if I was a teenager or a really real grown-up? It was so cute.

I let the C&E people have our church on Easter, It's very crowded and there's lots of little kids that aren't used to church, plus a lot of confusion. I usually attend the Easter sunrise meditation service on the beach with the other chapel that I visit...









On the other hand I seldom miss the Palm Sunday service because it's my favorite in the whole year. This is our procession last Sunday...

I'm working at the salon till 5 then jack shit because my moms a nurse and has to work and its the night shift.. no yummy food for me damnit

The last time I saw her some weeks ago she, my sister (her mother) and I had a discussion about fashion and my niece said to her mother: "See that shows one more time while me and Martina are one generation and you come from a different one. My sister is 54 I am 42 and my niece is 16 . I took it as a compliment and didn't mention that she was kinda wrong .

We did nothing special unless you count being happy and seeing my son did not burn my house while we were away (although we have evidence that he had a party while we´re gone) so we ate his chocolate in revenche which I have no idea where he got that from

We just came home from a short trip and still experiencing a jetlag and graving for greasy food and sleep
