Steelers WR Santonio Holmes traded (WTF)

The Pittsburgh Steelers have traded Super Bowl 43 MVP
WR Santonio Holmes to the N.Y Jets for a 5th round pick.
Way to go steelers. Not only do you trade a pro bowl caliber
reciever to a team you have to play this season, you have
weakened your team and strengthened theirs all for a low
draft pick. Way to go steelers. Nothing like getting another
5th round pick which gives us 4 for this draft.
Fire GM Kevin Colbert now. mad

Wow. A 5th round pick for Holmes? I know he has had some off-field issues, but nothing huge, right? What, did he get busted for smoking weed or something? If that is it, it seems the Steelers could have gotten way more out of the trade.

The Jets receiving corps is badass now and it was already pretty damn good.

He's been recently accused of throwing a drink on
a woman in an Orlando night club. The chick had 4
prior convictions on her record. Santonio's lawyer
is saying he has evidence that will prove his innocence.
Now it's rumored that Santonio could get a 4 game suspension
for substance abuse. I've only seen one source. If that's
the case then the steelers are sending a message. I hate
they are playing the morality police but if the recent
subtance issue is true i guess they have no choice.

Yeah the bengals fans enjoy celebrating their AFC North tshirts
and caps as they did in 2005. In Pittsburgh we actually enjoy
winning Super Bowls. lol

Bengals finished with a 10-6 record, your best season in a very long time. Steelers had a bad season with a 9-7 record, only one game less then your break out season. Bengals will choke (like always) this year now that they have to play teams that are top in their division.

The Bengals have more talent now but they don't know how to
win when it counts. The debacle at home against the Jets and
a rookie qb. I always felt that the Ravens was still better
because they were battle tested(schedule) like the Steelers were during
the run to Super Bowl 43. They proved it by smacking the Patriots
in the Wild card round.

No prosecution for Big Ben.

from today's NY Daily News regarding the Holmes case;

"...Holmes' lawyer told a Pittsburgh television station last week that he has a sworn statement from a witness who said that he, not Holmes, was the one who threw the drink."

Also, Holmes will be suspended the first four games of the upcoming season for violating the substance abuse policy.

The Bengals do have talent but they tend to choke, and in time the talent will all leave. Yes Ravens are still better than the Bengals.

No teams will be more prepared this season. Bengals won't catch teams off guard this season.
