Do you think Ricky Martin is THAT feminine ?

I mean yeah you could always kind of tell he was gay but it's not like he's Richard Simmons or something. People are acting like he's the most feminine-acting gay man ever.

What all do you think makes him feminine? Just wondering...

People say they always knew...because of the dancing or whatever, but I thought it was because he was Latino...with Clay A. I thought it was because he was nerdy...

yeahthat

men who are sexually attracted to women just seem to show it. shrug they give off this "i like pussy" vibe. Ricky always seemed either bisexual or plain ole gay to me. For a minute I didn't think he liked men or women.

I don't think he's feminine, but, yeah, there is a certain energy about him that always tripped my gaydar.

I find it quite stereotypical of people's response in that "oh he HAD to be gay.....LOOK at him". Is it because he had some metrosexual look about him? Are only unkempt, average joe, flannel wearing men allowed to be straight and not allowed to keep up their appearance? It's a stupid idea.

Prince fans have a fucking shit fit when someone accuses him of being gay or bisexual, or that he's too girly. "But he's in touch w/ his feminine side!" they yell. WTF does that even mean anyway???? Does every guy who is in touch w/ their alleged fem side immediately seen as a fop and a dandy like Prince? "Yeah, but Prince is a genius" At what? Dressing like a chick? I'd LOVE for Prince to come out wearing a pair of jeans, a pair of loafers, and a college sweater or a regular turtleneck that hadn't been dipped in a vat of glitter and Get Wild perfume. No one knows his waist size, but we know if he was a girl he'd be a size 6 (according to Dave Hill).

Yet if Ricky Martin, a masculine, hairy, tanned, tall, good looking, well dressed, and successful Latin man comes out as gay, then it's "oh well OF COURSE he is, LOOK at him. You can tell." You can tell? REALLY?

It all seem hypocritical from the people who list "straight acting, no femmes" in their adam4adam or gay.com profile, yet are the first to pick an apparently queer from the crowd, like Ricky Martin.

Yes we know Clay Aiken was gay. Every time he opened his mouth, the fall collection from Louis Vuitton fell out.

Shouldn't the gay-sided response be more "I'm GLAD he's gay, because I want to fuck him. And knowing he's gay fulfills my lonely gay fantasies I have at home when no one is around" ???

Should the straight-sided response be, "I'm glad he's gay because his uber masculine image threatened my fragile straight ego, and I want to think I'm better than him and can get more women - now I don't have to feel threatened by someone who doesn't even know I exist." ???

But was Ricky Martin THAT feminine? Fuck no, he wasn't.

Barbara Walters interviewed him years ago and said, 'You know, you could dispel all of gay rumours right now by just saying, 'Yes, I am' or 'No, I'm not'.'

He responded by saying, 'For some reason, I just don't feel like it.'

I mean, if you didn't know he was gay then, you were probably also a card-carrying Claymate.

Then again, there are still those that argue Michael Jackson (or his insurance company rolleyes) gave away $20 million for nothing.

Our different tastes once again lol....

Ricky Martin may be pretty, but not sexy at all IMO that's why I didn't even realize he was pretty for a long time shrug. He's the perfect example of a man who is good looking, but extremely boring without any style or anything special IMO. And I never thought that George Michael was hot either shrug. I would never give them a second look if they walked down the street.

pretty doesn't equal gay.

Brad Pitt ain't gay.
Tom Cruise probably isn't gay.
Matt Damon isn't gay.
Jude Law isn't gay.
Eric McCormack isn't gay (and even played a gay guy, but was never thought to BE gay).
Derek Jeter isn't gay (but he should be....my god I'd fuck him silly)

These were/are all guys who were/are considered at some point "pretty" or extremely attractive, or even "The most beautiful person alive", by the public and the media.

It's a misnomer to assume someone's sexuality based on how pretty they are. Not all butch women are lesbians either.

Thats not really what I mean... I cant really explain it.... Most of those on your list besides Eric McCormick I wouldnt consider "pretty" either.. Unless its just my taste because whenever I find a gorgeous guy hot he always ends up being gay... Which is great! I just seem to find those men hot... shrug

I think being pretty has nothing to do with being gay or straight anymore than being ugly has to do with being mean or being fat has to do with being sick. It's amazing how we associate the way a person looks with their character, intelligence, sexual orientation or state of physical health. As a joke, I get it but I think some people are not joking and actually believe that looks dictate everyting else about a person.

I've seen some ass ugly gay dudes ( I mean I wouldn't fuck them if I had a dick and some sanitizer) and I've seen some painfully gorgeous straight guys - too pretty to even talk to. I've seen some pretty lesbos and some ugly ones too. I think if people are honing into a person's sexuality it has nothing to do with their looks and everything to do with the energy they give off, how they carry themselves and the way they speak. Also, how they approach the question if asked. Gay guys almost always avoid the question altogether unless they are comfortably open to begin with. A straight guy has no problem saying he's straight. The question is asked and answered in under 10 secs. shrug

carry on.
