It did look like the trannies were startin' shit. The guys probably said something, and they wouldn't let it go. "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

Ppl never learn. No matter what convictions or feelings you've got against these women/men, you really shouldn't voice them. Especially to some of the ones in my 'hood in Chicago. They are not afraid to cut you. And they work out, too. Strong arms and legs n all that. So why bother...lest ya want your booty whooped and end up being on MTO to get laughed at..

That was some thoroughly disgusting ghetto, low class, nygga bullshit! Yes I said it.
And it looks like the trannies got away. I'm sorry, hormones or no hormones, these are two dudes beating on one dude. Unfair fight. Maybe he said some derogatory stuff but sometimes you fight words with words and then walk away. It looked like the one tranny touched him or something and then he started swinging. And it also looked like the trannie in the white shirt was up on his ass a little too much, hence the camera guy saying "they finna rape him now." Alcohol and drug induced club mayhem. Was this in Atlanta?

Um... I know none of y'all are my kids. AND I do know the LGBTQ "community" freely uses the term "trannie" as a sort of reappropriated shorthand. (Not unlike how some black folk use "nigga"; some gay men use "fag" or "queen"; some white folk use "red neck" or "white trash.") BUT Might we be sensitive to the fact that in mixed company the word "trannie" can come off as fairly pejorative... even if we don't intend it that way? Just my Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Are you upset at the thread title or the exchange between the 3 dudes and what the one guy getting beat up may have said to enrage the other two? Frankly, almost any slang word or abbreviation can come off pejorative and insulting especially when you factor in tone and context. I think this whole thing is beyond name calling. I'm insulted that these are ignorant black folk acting foul in public, camera guy included.

Even separate of the video, which I can only imagine is a hot mess (because I haven't watched it), I'm saying the mere casual use of the word as we've seen it in this thread is... shaky. It'd be like someone putting together a thread titled "When blackies attack... run!" Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Then you might see why the posts read the way they do. And it really his a hot ghetto mess.

Just my HELLO (coming from someone who's used the term frequently up till very recently but is seriously rethinking). I don't get why any of these ghetto/trannie/whatevathefuckwewannacall'em displays of straight up ingnunt violence are fun or entertaining. I'm not trynna be high and mighty, I used to be amused by this shit. But not so much these days. Am I growin up at 40? WTF???? [Edited 4/1/10 21:22pm]

I'm conflicted here because while I do agree with part of your statement, you do seem to enjoy callin out transgendered folk as "dudes".

I've made no secret about that at all. I respect that some want to call themselves women and that's okay but in this place...I'm going to call them dudes from time to time. Have you seen this vid...I don't even think those guys did anything other than put on makeup, a wig and pad their shirts. I'm not even sure if it's right to call them trannies as opposed to cross-dressers.

Sometimes it's a personality thing (like a tomboy) and sometimes it may be physical... so it's a tough call to make. I do hear what you're sayin but it's not really respecting someone's wish of calling themselves women when you still pick to call 'em "dudes".

That was disgusting...all three of them and the ghetto ass dude filming it talking about he's gonna call it when punks beat up punks or some shit. But I admit they look like men to me and sound like men and move like men and so on. Can't help calling them dudes. come to think of it...i call bonafide women dude sometimes but that's leftover 90s speak.

So if they are drag queens and not trans, then "dude" would be a fair term. EDIT: And yes I agree, the whole display is gross all around. [Edited 4/1/10 22:04pm]
