Number 23 was out of line in his veiled insults to you and attacks on your character vs. disagreeing with your ideas. The gaggle of shocked responses to his post clearly demonstrate that...but, just ignore it and move on...giving in to the flame and cussin' each other out back and forth will not serve the story and the tragedy discussed here at hand, rather than disintegrate this whole thread into a pointless battle of wills and ego, and possibly lock a topic that could raise awareness about child abuse and molestation. ...that being said, as many times as I have witnessed the devastation that attacks victims of rape and molestation their whole lives through, this bleeding heart type also supports the severest punishment possible for adults & repeat offenders, although for younger, unformed persons however, I would go for rehab and very very close monitoring for younger offenders. They still have room to restructure impulses & priorities, and grow...but it's not easy. It would require hardcore work on the psyche, social integration, and naturally some deep delving work into the soul.

Still, this is a fucked up story on all counts. Nobody will come out of this unscathed, and it didn't have to happen.

We really need to teach kids in school, and at an early age, how to protect themselves physically and how to contact authorities when they are being threatened. We also need to teach these teens some parenting skills and help them develop self-esteem and self worth. I think these parents failed both of these girls but i do believe that teen girl was messed over by someone long long ago.
