Are you joking? I'm in Detroit, they expect to tear down 10,000 homes in the next 3 years.

LOL, yeah I'm in Houston. We don't have any zoning.
You could take a picture almost anywhere and find something that sticks out. Not necessarily ugly, but sticks out.

Down the street from my parents, a family painted their house royal blue trimmed in white. It is so shockingly bright!
Especially since it's on a street where the houses are mostly brick or white. "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

Our local eyesores would be those fuckin McMansions. We have 2 up the street to the right and one down a few houses to the left. They look ridiculous.

I hate 'em, too. And they're like roaches: You see one, that means scores more are headed your way. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

It's one thing when they develop them in a development where they're all that way, they're not my thing, but at least if they're done that way and there's some room in between them... But the particular neighborhood we currently live in is made up of mostly ranch (not huge) homes. I hate that they will demolish a home and pop up one of these monstrosities, taking up nearly every inch of the lot and looking so out of place.
