Enuff with the rain already!!!! [now w/ backyard pics] What the f*ck!?!?!?
It's been raining non-stop since yesterday. My backyard is now a pond. There is almost a foot of water in our crawlspace. From the Weather Service;
Statement as of 3:20 PM EDT on March 30, 2010 ... The Flood Advisory remains in effect until 615 PM EDT for Nassau and Suffolk counties... Several inches of rainfall has fallen across the advisory area. While the rainfall has become light... waters levels will be slow to recede the next several hours. Urban and poor drainage flooding is expected into early this evening. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause ponding of water in urban areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage areas and low lying spots. Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground. ENOUGH ALREADY!!!! All houses in my area are elevated...although I had to wade through my underwater yard last night to get my pump for the crawlspace that had over a foot of water....and was rising dangerously close to my furnace!!!
