one thing I do not like about GTA is you can not just kill some people (as they are not reachable in a playable way). In Elder Scrolls III you can kill anyone (if you are bad enough that is) If you kill the wrong person it will tell you just messed up the game and that if you keep playing you will not be able to progress the story. (in ES IV you can not kill important people)

This story is really odd for a couple of reasons. It seems to be a combination of slow news day and someone out for attention for their group.

This game was released in 2006, covered by western media in 2009, is out of print, and in 2009 the makers of this game participated in an industry, not government panel to agree upon the cessation of creating rape games.

FYI, these were not against Japanese law either, which some would say leads to the creation of a culture that is more apt to mistreat women. Not according to the UN however:

So it really boils down to a news story with 2 easy targets "video games" and "foreign culture" put them together and you get rage 4 years late.

Whether it's in good taste is debatable, but that goes for a lot of things.
I seriously don't think such a game will encourage people to go out and rape someone. And if someone does, they would've done so anyway, regardless of that video game.
