Damn, I have great friends. I don't care if this is the cheesiest thread ever, but I just really realized now how great my friends are. Lovers come and go, but good friends will always stick around. Appreciate your friends!!!

Heavenly. he's been my friend since I came back from the states. He made me feel at home, made sure I'd have my laughs and will not feel alone.

I agree creamychemist! I hear people say all of the time that they "don't have time" to spend with or to appreciate their friends. I say, that's what we're here to do: love and be loved. I'm not gonna go to the grave wishing people knew how much I cared, or wishing I'd spent more time with the people who mean the most to me.

We all have enough time to do the things we need to do--it's how we choose to spend it and prioritize it that's the issue.

Opinion only, your mileage may vary!

Friends? what are those ... ... No I have a few great friends but I am talking I can count them on one hand..Better to have ONE good one than 10 fake ones

So when one is lucky enough to find a person(s) that r always there 4 u, thick & thin, that u can tell your troubles to and expect their "honest" opinion, even though it may hurt, u know it's in your best interest. i could go on & on about the many characteristics of good friends, but we all probobly know what they are when we experience them. some friends are more caring than ones own family. why is that? i've had 1-2 friends who gave me more nurturing than a few of my family members. more support, help etc. but, although we knew each other for many years, we somehow went our seperate ways. never see them. one reason was my marriage. my ex disliked my best friend bcuz we were close & did things together he wouldnt do with me. (not sex)! he wanted me home at his feet. i also feel your husbands wishes come bfore your friends. I need not worry about that NOW! My friends were always important 2 me, from kindergarten on. so if u r lucky to have a "true" friend(s), BE ONE in return, and hold on, bcuz lots of ppl come into our lives masquerading as friends, but really arent. one has to know the difference from trial & error.

I do all the time. I have six friends i have know over twenty years and we still keep in contact.

i had a good friend day today. every noe and then life is sort of snowy and dark then a pal will bring back the sun...
