Is that the same as ranch? If so, then yes, I love it. It's my favorite.

It's similar to Catalina or French. It's so tangy and delicious. Try it! You'll be hooked.

In that case, I'm not sure I would care for it. I'm not a big fan of either. But, I may give it a shot the next time I see it!

hmm...my mom makes a spaghetti salad with catalina dressing...maybe this would be a nice alternative.
I'm not so much a big fan of french or catalina...but I'd give it a try. I like italian dressing...or just plain old oil and vinegar with some salt and pepper. smile

Huh, I can honestly say that I have NEVER seen this dressing in any grocery store I have ever been in. Maybe it's a regional thing.

I make my own. It's really good.

These are rough measurements:

2 tbls mustard (dijon or course brown/ground)
2 tbls fresh squeezed orange or lemon juice
good splash of champagne or white wine vinegar (red wine or cidar vinegar will do too)
2 tbls minced dill (or about 2 to 3" Dill paste)
sea salt, fresh pepper

Mix well until all is emulsified. Add to food processor and, on high, pour in about 3/4 - 1 cup olive oil. Keeps in fridge for a 3-4 days.

You can also add an inch of Anchovy Paste for more flavor. It's not fishy, but adds a great salty, earthy undercurrent.

Change it up with Basil paste, or grapefruit juice.

Holy smokes, I haven't thought about that in ages!! We used to eat that when I was a kid, although mom was a big 1,000 Island girl, and dad loved his Bleu Cheese.

Look harder the next time you're in the grocery store. It's a national brand by Wish-bone.
