Lewis Hamilton, what were you thinking Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton has car impounded under anti-hoon laws
http://www.news.com.au/na...5846209403 FORMULA One ace Lewis Hamilton has apologised to fans after being caught hoon driving outside the Grand Prix circuit last night. A McLaren spokesman confirmed there was a passenger in the car at the time of the incident, believed to be a fellow team member. Grand Prix boss Ron Walker this morning also defended the English McLaren driver, dismissing suggestions he should be suspended from tomorrow's big race. Hamilton, a former world champion, described his behaviour as "silly" in a statement issued by McLaren. "I was driving in an over-exuberant manner and as a result was stopped by the police," Hamilton said. "What I did was silly and I want to apologise for it." Mr Walker this morning said Hamilton should be forgiven his indiscretion, which he described as "out of character''. What a load of crock!!! He should be setting an example, grand prix/v8 racing already cops flack for "encouraging hoons" (my words). They should ban him from competing in tomorrows race. seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before

That's pretty stupid and fucked up of him, but as I am a big fan I forgive him . Don't most formula1 racers have a history of speeding up and things like that ? Schuhmacher comes to mind immediately. [Edited 3/27/10 1:34am] With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

[Edited 3/27/10 1:34am] We have pretty strong anti hooning laws here in Oz. But im afraid to say that a fine and relinquishing a car probably wont teach Hamilton a lesson, the reulting embarrassment in the media hopefully will. My husband was a huge Senna fan, and hence follows Hamilton due to being McLaren. I wonder whose BMW he had to relinquish, probably a sponsors. seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before

He was thinking just like Tiger.
They get carried away thinking that they are celebs ad above the law. Testosterone plays a role in this behaviour as well. Bad boys...with a need for speed, bad combo. I do love Lewis though, he is a cutie!

hoons usually drag race other cars, do burnouts, revving excessively, doing blockies, generally being a nuisance. Hamilton, 25, did a burnout with smoking tyres and a fishtail in a silver Mercedes in front of a Victoria Police car about 9.15pm last night. His car was impounded for 48 hours by the Traffic Management Unit and police this morning said he would be charged by summons for improper use of a vehicle. A witness last night said Hamilton slumped down in his car and tried to hide from spectators when police approached his car. that'll do it every time seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before

Thought he'd grown out of this kind of thing during the struggles of last season. He's very quick, no doubt about it, but came into F1 with a silver spoon in his mouth, was over-confident, and at times even a dangerous, irresponsible driver that others took exception to. Last year he seemed to grow up. This incident isn't a big deal though. If I were him I'd be more concerned about the very poor qualifying performance this afternoon. MY COUSIN WORKS IN A PHARMACY AND SHE SAID THEY ENEMA'D PRANCE INTO OBLIVION WITH FENTONILS!!

Drag racing on the street is a no-no, but I really like doing burn-outs in parking lots.

Hey Zombiekitten, were you there?
Great race! One of the best I've seen in a long time. Sure I knows it was good because of the rain but still LOL. I feel for Vettel, and Lewis to his credit drove his ass off. Shame Webber took him out though. You know Webber would of torn Lewis a new ass if he did it to him LOL. Kobayashi's crash was something though LOL.
