On the one hand... when my high school boyfriend had me shave his head I cried the whole way through.  It wasn't even long, really, just kinda long-ish and I loooooved his hair so much at the time. Looking back, the shaved head was a much better look.
These days I'm not a fan of long hair on men. Certainly there are exceptions and some men look nice with it, but I think they're few and far between. |

Same here. Some people look great with long hair, but most just don't. They look like bad Chippendales or Metallica clones from the 80's. Both bad. >> |

I've had my head shaved completely bald twice so I realize objecting to a haircut on someone else is a tad hypocritical, but still...
I guess I get so attached to mens' long hair because it's still the norm for guys to have short, plain, rather conservative hair. To me it's like seeing Aly Sheedy's makeover at the end of the Breakfast Club, when I see a guy lose his long hair. (or fro, dreds, spikes, etc) The visible -and IMO beautiful -marker of difference is gone. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!" | |
