Well, I'll be gatdamned . . . seems that the North Sea Jazz Festival is adding an edition on the Caribbean island of Curacao. I think I'ma put this on my to do list. So, any of you been there? What's it like?

Any island in the Carribean has got to be good

Since it's a Dutch island I've heard it is rather different than the rest of the Caribbean.

So no one around here has been there??? (Fuck you Jason! People HAVE heard of Curacao!!! I know you can't tell by this thread but that ain't the pernt!!!)

I've been to many Caribbean Islands including Curacao and the other ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire). They are all lovely islands, but very dry and flat. Not a lot of lush vegetation, but gorgeous beaches and very friendly people. I also felt very safe unlike somewhere such as Jamaica where I didn't feel safe at all. The resort I stayed at was beatiful, but outside the resort was damn scary. I will not go back to Jamaica, but would definitely visit Curacao again.
