EXCESS

What do you consider excessive? Give examples or post pictures of what you consider excess.

I think ordering a whole bunch of stuff in a restaurant and then not being able to eat even close to all of it is a case of needless and wasteful excess. I've been out with people who've done that and it just doesn't quite sit right.

(Note: leaving tofu, I think, is fine lol )

So how about you? What constitutes excess in your eyes?

hmmm

Taking two pigs heads (isn't one a lot already?) and about 40 eggs to the temple is probably a bit excessive, methinks. lol Makes me wonder what the real intentions and thinking behind it are. Merit-making... rolleyes

The thread currently below this one might be seen as a little bit excessive.

When going out for a really nice meal with friends, if we're doing it right, there will often be leftovers, but I bring them home and eat them for another meal, so I don't think it's excessive. Not everything works well that way, but I tend to order carefully.

Now that I think about it, it's actually pretty rare that I go out to eat and NOT have lunch or dinner for the next day to take home. Sometimes it's cause I over-ordered purposely, but part of that is how obscene portions are here in the US. Not all restaurants are that crazy, though.

Getting a 'doggy bag' is fairly normal here too, with no stigma or anything. nod

I have known ppl that have to leave something on their plates, just because they cannot leave the plate empty.
I hate wasting food.
I also hate wasting water, if there is relatively clean water but it is stale or I cannot use it for drinking, I will use it on the house plants rather than pouring down the drain.

This sort of thing...

...for a family of, say, 3 is excessive in my mind.

I think I agree. When it comes to an expensive house, if given the opportunity, I've always thought I'd get something modest in size but with each room done nicely exactly to my taste. I think it's enough.

That's a hellova lot of money. I guess a billionaire might be trying to protect his/her family for generations. I think of that movie Trading Spaces.. or Places or whatever...

I think addicts are excessive. shrug

Excessive is ordering a cheeseburger AND chicken McNuggets for your child knowing damn well they're only going to eat one of them just so your child will have the options and then giving your overweight husband the item they didn't choose on top of the meal he ordered.

Excessive is two sippy cups full of juices for each child you have just in case they might decide they like the character on the other cup better.

If you couldn't tell, I have a sister in law who obsessively gives her children so many options that they are confused and don't know how to properly make decisions. And it all boils down to her not knowing how to make decisions for herself. When she goes to restaurants, she orders so many foods for herself. I don't know about you all but I ate what my mom ordered for me and if I didn't like it, I didn't eat. I worry about my nephews and the type of men they're going to become.

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.
