Cell phone numbers go public/Do Not Call registry Got this email reminder today. Just passing it on.
Cell Phone Numbers Go Public this month. REMINDER: All cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls.YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS WITHIN YOUR CALL AIRTIME PLAN. To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. It takes 31 days for your number to be dropped off telemarketers' lists once you call. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number. HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON It takes about 20 seconds. https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx

Thanks, sweetums. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Now ain't this some shit! I rarely use my cell and have it turned off most of the time. Can they still call without the phone being on? I'm not too savvy with the new technology.
What I hate are the folk calling for donations. I understand that they are exempt from the do not call list. Is that true? I'm about to cuss out the folk who call for donations for the various law enforcement organizations. If they call you once, they call you 15,000 times even after you tell them you don't have any money! And then have the nerve to be rude!

That "reminder" has been circulating for years. It's a chain letter. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

I didn't bother to check it cuz it didn't seem like there was any kind of catch.
I called and registered the number. The phone is real. Waiiiiit, do Nigerian Scammers have my number now???

OH, and feel free to lock. Probably not much use for the thread since it's a chain. [Edited 3/26/10 11:36am]
