Is there a LOST thread going?

This thread right here will be lost in a couple of hours

Liked the show the first season. After that, it became so convoluted, I lost all interest in it. I watch a few minutes of it every now and then, and it has gotten downright silly. I'm glad this is its last season.

Okay, I admit I watched most of it last night, but only because the wife did. So do you think they are all dead? I think they left that possibility open last night. I have been telling the wife since last season I thought they were all either in hell or in purgatory.

yep, many people think last night's was one of the best ever. I personally loved the redemption of Ben one from two weeks ago. Powerful.

no...I don't think they are all dead....purgatory perhaps, but I will be pissed if it's purgatory because my husband guessed that in season 1! Why would the devil...or evil be stuck in purgatory though...?? Oi! that show makes me crazy! but I love it and will miss it when it's gone.

I stopped watching it after the end of season 2 and from what I'm gathering its now all bout 2 god like characters betting on the goodness or evilness of men. Which honestly sounds like a complete wash and done to death.

that might be a plot device on which they run the narrative, but the great episodes are about why a character is a certain way, like the one from two weeks ago where we really see into the true motivations and mind of Ben who came in on season two. Or yesterdays which shows what the is really going on with Richard.

Similarly in season one, I was won over when we saw Locke's story and then it culminated in him gaining his legs back on the beach.

The actual mechanics of the plot (the "why is this weird thing happening?" or that weird thing happening?) have always seemed like recycled elements from past shows and movies. They just use them in way to look into these very human characters.

Admittedly I was not a fan of the last season before this. It lacked the suspense, character intensity, and "realistic" mythological feelings of the first and second season for me.
