You must be very worried and scared I'm sending positive vibes your way.. Big hug and love, Marion xxx [Edited 3/30/10 11:41am] Thanks sweety!~ Right now I am feeling pretty good about myself! When the cathater clogs with blood clots, the pain is imediate and intense. I told them I was pre-med and the Dr let them teach me. Melinda ( moms nurse) was ubber skilled at teaching and ubber cool! So yesterday they taught me how to sterilize and flush the line. Talk about intense and ya just don't know how you are gonna do until ya do it. I met some trouble with the bladder wall ( resistance, but she told me what that meant and what to do) and I did it right and we got the buggers outta there! Wooooo wooooo! Saves her hours at the hospital and that makes her feel real good and both of us feel a little more in control! Thursday, they will remove the whole kidney and it is over. Kidneys are individually wrapped in neato packaging. ( Your kidney is encapsulated in a renal pouch along with a bit of fat and adrenal gland.) So whether or not it is cancer, it comes out intact, problem solved. There's a little more technicality with transitional cell's that may mean the plumb line comes out with it but i wont bore you all with that. The point is, we should be good to go by Friday and can move our frame of mind to recovery! Well look whom I found dipping their toe in the murky waters! :eyeroll: At least offer me a damn cup of coffee!

Im glad that you are able to take the burden off your mum, by helping her at home. waiting in hospitals isnt pleasant at the best of times..and she will spend enough time in there after thursday. I will be thinking of you both...heres to successful surgery, and a speedy recovery seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before
