FauxReal

Jamiroquai - Virtual insanity
Reminds me of when my grandmother died. The video was playing. When I got the news.

Sonique - It Feels So Good
Always seemed to be on the radio when I started dating my ex wife.

Little Brother - ExtraHard
I played their CD a lot when I was just getting to know the ex gf (in the car by myself usually). So this song always reminds me of trying to get with her. Despite the title, the song has nothing to do with erections.

I listned to this a lot when our middle son was a teenager, and slipping away from us. He rejected our familly and took after his previously rarely seen bio dad. He's in the marines now, he called tonight talking like a white trash moron. I don't think I'll ever see the real person again. neutral

"Sex in the Summer"--reminds me of my ex and a certain night in Washington state. She knows why.

"Wipeout" by The Fat Boys--reminds me of the summer of 1987, which was the best summer of my life. Three months of "The Legend of Zelda," hanging with my homeboy Danny, staying up late watching "Saturday Night's Main Event" and watching MTV when my parents weren't around.

"Five Years" by David Bowie--reminds me of my junior year in high school when I first discovered David Bowie. I couldn't wait to get home and listen to this album every day after school. Why do seemingly all shy, alienated young people respond to this album the way they do?

"Army of Me"--two memories. This was the only song I heard during the one month I was in the Navy in '95. It was on the radio in a car I was in. Bjork sounded like an absolute angel in the midst of that desolate place I was in. And I remember dirty dancing to this with my ex-gf in 2002 at Detroit's City Club.
