Usually it's just flurries that don't stick. I think the most accumulation I've seen is all those years is 2 inches then it's gone. This some booolSHIT! Global Warming! I mean Climate Change! I mean End of Days! Shit chile...you got snow! Be Happy! I got to drive some friggin 6 plus hours if I wanna see snow and half the time it got doggy piss in it. Fuck some snow! Two 18 wheelers collided and flipped onto other cars killing a few people. And a 22 year old died after his car slid into another, he got out of the car, and another car hit the same ice patch, hit him and threw him over the overpass. Our cars are not equipped to deal with ice/snow conditions.

I was laid up in the bed watching the news showing 30 being shut down with the accidents. It was crazy and I don't think you got as much snow as we did, 8-9 inches is some ridiculous shit.

Shiiiitttt, I better not rely on him for protection. If anyone breaks in he's just gonna roll over on his back and wait to get his gut scratched

Miss C, is your home easy to heat? I love brick and I've heard it's easier to warm than stucco (like my place).

See, most of the houses down here are brick so I've never been in anything different. I will say this tho, my previous home was 1600 sq ft and this one is 4000. My electric (for a/c) and gas (for heat) bills are about the same as they were in the smaller house. I attribute this to more energy efficient construction and that I have to use a coop for my electricity. Regarding the gas heat, during the summer my gas bill is less than $30. Because the winters are typically mild I MIGHT get a $200 heating bill for ONE winter month the rest of the winter is less than $100. However, this year being so cold I think I've averaged about $150 each month. The main problem for me tho is that my bedroom is downstairs and all the heat rises upstairs so the heat keeps coming on. I keep it on about 65 cuz I like to be cold. But in Texas, heating ain't the big expense, cooling is. In the hottest summer months I'll average about $300 for 3-4 months of the year. But again this is about what I paid in a smaller house and even in my apartment. [Edited 3/23/10 10:17am]

I wondered if my home being stucco had something to do with why the summer months are extremely hot (hotter inside than out) and the winter months are freezing. I don't think stucco is energy efficient and wondered if brick acts as an insulator. I have a two story home and heat rises to the top as well with the bedrooms which are at the corners being very cold or very hot depending on the season.

If I ever feel the need to get another house, it's gonna be one of those stucco Italianate houses with the tile roof. Does it have insulation in the walls or is it just the stucco?

Yes there's insulation in the walls but I think it must be cheap cuz of the inconsistent temperatures in the house. I do have interior stucco so maybe that contributes to my temperature problem.
