But I get the sense that you can't go into a relationship with that woman without getting beat daily.

....so even though I'd NEVER entertain the possibility of cheating with a friend's wife.... it's made more absolute by the fact that I don't really know how to read my health insurance policy.

falloff

I can't read my health insurance policy either. My wife loves watching CSI, NCIS, and forensics programmes on Discovery Channel. I'm in danger aren't I. neutral

does your health insurance read like this:

Hip injury - we cover 80%. You cover rest. Hospital stay ok, but not too long ok?

and shit like that? lol

But that's their preference, and I'm cool with that.

I do find gay men REALLY stereotype their preferences though--some only chase bears, some only like circumcised men, and some are exclusive rice queens.

But in all honesty, the gay community was light years ahead in interracial relationships if you asked me. Even in Alabama during the 80's it was much more common to see to mix-race gay couples than straight.

Seriously? Love letters? From adult students. falloff I thought they'd just try and be all coy and ask you to go get lunch with them or something. So which one's the most emotionally broken but with an independent streak? smile

Oh definitely the Chinese girl in one of my classes. They're always angry at their parents for sending them to Thailand.

But, in all honesty, I'm very professional with my students. The quote you posted above came from Nolly (nick name 'Sai') who owns a small perfume business. As you see from my response to her I was perfectly professional. nod

Although if that Chinese guy down at the restaurant enrolled in the school and my class, there would be a scandal for sure. neutral ... Because I would fuck him for bonus points.

Shit, I hadn't even seen that post of hers (until I just went and looked). lol She's like a perfect little demure Asian doll (surprised her nickname isn't 'tukta'). You were professional. nod I don't want to be patronising, but don't you think girls of that age and from that background are often very immature? Seems like they don't really become women emotionally until they hit their late 20s. Feels like they're easily manipulated too. boxed I just always felt really protective of my 18 to early twenties female students. I couldn't look at them as potential conquests (even if I hadn't been with Mon) like so many English teachers here can (and that's not even talking about being professional, which for many teachers doesn't even cross their mind). It's condescending, but especially if speaking in English it would feel like I'd stolen a march on getting in their pants right from the get go. boxed

Actually, in truth I'm in the process of trying to get new health insurance so I'm not covered right now. Not so easy without a work permit. The cover is so paltry compared to the west too, like it may be a million baht as opposed to a million GBP for the same accident scenario, which is a big difference! Are you getting yours through work?

Also, what visa are you on, the non-immigrant B? Or do you have your work permit and 1 year visa already?

We've jacked this thread a bit.

Awesome, I'm envious! So do you think you'll get it? Would be nice to be able to come and go as you please. I may get a 1 year multi entry again when I go to Penang later this month, but I'll still be going over the border and back every 3 months. If they're not giving them out there I'll have to wait until I go back to the UK at Xmas. At least that's automatic. The border runs every 3 months I've grown to like as a chance to take the family on a day trip, but these actual visa runs I'm doing now every 3 months where I have to stay 2 nights somewhere I could do without!

Mon says hi and that she misses you. hug

And yes, girls at that age (between 18 and 25) are very emotionally immature here---mostly because they're upper class or VERY uppger class daughters of generals, political whatever, business owners, who have never had to work in their lives... I mean, NEVER.

I asked one of my classes (Because part of my curriculum is teach them business English... writing resumes, etc.) if they'd ever filled out a job applications. EVERY ONE OF THOSE FUCKERS said 'no'. lol

And don't you think you could choose your words and charm them into your bed in your sleep? I find that disturbs me.

See, girls/women like Mon or her mother, from that background and social class, are hard as nails by 16 years old and have already worked several jobs by the time they're the age of those rich girls. They're so distinctly different in every way, it's funny. Even just in appearance, their dress, make-up, even their hair (and of course, their skin). Such a divide. Often the two just don't mix, but not always. wink

What's the difference here? Fetish as opposed to preference. I saw an orger saying that they didn't understand the whole idea of having a preference for black, white, Asian or whatever, but I'm not sure it's all that sinister or unhealthy.

I primarily go for Thai-American guys with Thai passports who are legally able to buy land in Thailand, but I wouldn't call it a fetish, just a vague preference. shrug
