Glad you loved it, but I don't think it is the greatest movie ever. I'm not sure if this was supposed to be a question or not.

I can never remember which scenes belong to "Boomerang" and which to "Distinguished Gentleman".

When I had surgery, I ordered "Harlem Nights", "Boomerang", "Vampire in Brooklyn", and "Coming to America" to keep me company. I had forgotten how funny Eddie Murphy could be.

I love Boomerang, who remembers fine ass Tisha Campbell with her big "Don't do it girl!" sign? lol

It is one of my favorite films. However, with the advent of cable it has sort of cheapened in value for me. It use to be on once in a while and it was always a joy to see it when it came on. I even got the DVD, because it was not on cable that much. Now, it is on constantly and I don't even watch it anymore.

SO MANY great scenes in that movie! Too many to list but Grace was great and Tisha had me cracking up!

Somehow I think Ms Givens was kinda playing herself. Break a brother off well then leave him lying there alone wanting more. biggrin

Grace Jones is hilarious in this film and the Strange afterbirth ad is soooo sick! Also, the father's mushroom suit is one of the funniest scenes I have ever seen.

Not the greatest film necessarily but indeed, the cast is top class and the soundtrack is excellent too.

Eddie became a dad, that's what happened. Once it did, his movie career jumped out of the window.

Yeah, it's a very funny movie, but by no means the best...maybe one of the best. My favorite lines are:

"Puss, puss, puss, pusseeeee!"

"...Man, they in there fuckin!"

"Oh, look, Jerome. Your mama brought a whole trough of chitlins!"

"I don't have any panties on..."

It was OK, but I much prefer it to any of his stuff I've seen since, say, Life.
