In my culture, facial tattoos (moko) traditionally are a sign of chiefly status. One of my great aunts has here chin tattooed similar to this. It looks amazing.

I'm don't like face and/or neck tats. The rest of the body is fair game and when done right can look awesome. I think sleeves are on an individual basis. They don't look good on everybody. But sometimes they look really, really hot.

I have great respect for tats that have some longstanding cultural significance or evidence extraordinary artistic and technical talent. That aside, I'm no fan of them -- and that probably is especially true where more conspicuous tats, like sleeves and face work, are concerned.
