Do heels hurt your feet? Yay or Nay?

I dont think I can wear heels anymore! They hurt. Yesterday in the mall,I couldnt even make it back to the car.

A few weeks ago at the Mariah Carey concert,I was close to dropping down and crawling across the parking lot

I used to wear heels everyday,I stopped because I do lots of walking. But now when I put a pair on,Im in pain 3 hours later. Do I have to train my feet or something? sad So many cute shoes...but I dont even bother with them.
I wore flats last night to the Tyler Perry play barf

It depends on the shoe, but I generally can't wear more than a couple of inches unless it's a platform. And I can only wear chunky heels. No stilettos for me. sad

I used to try and would end up having to leave events early, would be taking my shoes off under tables, I've even walked barefoot down city streets before cause I couldn't take it any more.

I get to wear all kinds of cute shoes, but I never get to wear sexy shoes.

It's sad.

the few times i have done the play of rocky horror, they have. i can dance and run the shit out of platforms or a chunk heel, but only used the stilletos for numbers that i didn't have to dance too much or run.

but lord, by the time i spent the last 20 minutes of the show doing those last several numbers of the floorshow and going home... every night, laying dead on stage was such a thrill because it meant my feet stop hurting, getting me ready for the curtain call.

I'm very used to wearing heels -- I never wear kicks anymore.
It's either heels, flip flops, or UGGs depending the weather.
I think the pain depends on the shoe. Shitty shoe, painful foot.

Depends on the shoe... The cut is important, my feet did well with the Joan & David shoe, they were cut wide to accommodate my wide feet.

Before I could wear any heel, any height when I was younger, (in my 20's) but now in my 30's and overweight I HAVE to have a comfortable heel. I can still do a 3.5" heel if its wide and the toebox is wider as well.

I used to work on my feet ALL day sometimes in 12 hour stretches and be fine. But now If I can wear a heel for 5 hours I am doing good. I always carry flats or flipflops in a bag JIC.

Oh! and the shoe style is important too! I can NOT wear an opened toe shoe with a heel, but I can wear a high wedge thong front shoe and be comfy or stretch leather/banded stiletto heel shoe.

i love heels also/such great styles/ i treat them like ballet toe shoes by wrapping toes in lambswool, using a support insert, and making sure my toenails are cut short/guess what--they still hurt after 6 hours. there are also tutorials on youtube on walking in them and distributing your weight a certain way---hurts some but i am gonna wear those sexy heals! heck my toe shoes stopped hurting when i danced ballet /so training feet? ---yes, one more thing GET A GOOD CHIROPRACTOR

How high are the heels that are killing you?

A 3 1/2" or 4" is still a nice height and doesn't murder (like 5 and 6").

Also a heel with a platform will be much kinder on your footsies. hug

I have 2.5" platform wedge sandals, they are the only heels I've ever been able to wear for any length of time. I can wear them all day even without pain, walk to and from school and everything! They are skechers though, so.

It depends on the shoe. I love heels. I am only 5'4" so I love to be a little taller. Some of them hurt like hell and I have walked barefoot in the middle of a 10 degree Chicago winter from the club to the car. But a few weeks ago I went to Berlin and danced practically the entire night with 4" platform ankle boots on and didn't feel a thing. Could have been the Tropical Sex I was drinking. hmmm
