Have you ever worked for or with some one you've looked up to (aka famous?)

I have a meeting tomorrow with someone who has been in the industry for almost 30 years and im a little excited about it. I'm goin to play it cool of course but also sprinkle in a little of my knowelegde that only a fan could maintain, yano?

I havent properly met many "celebrities" but this would be one of the first times ive ever had to have a (intellectual) conversation with them.

Have any of your ever went through this?
What was it like?

I have n o expectations of anything at all. The only person i would have had huge expectations for died last year so, i not too fazed by the "fandom" part. just the legacy is sooooo huge! eek

worked with or for? no

met, conversed, and hang out with? yes. several...

the biggest thing is don't mention the well-known stuff, and don't bullshit. if you want to ask questions, ask about the pet projects, and don't pretend to like something you dodn't. as long as you are honest and genuine and not rabid, people tend to sense that.

when i met carrie fisher she was cold until i mentioned i had read all her books. then she was sweet as pie and chatty. had i mentioned star wars or been bullshitting about being a huge fan of her writing, the conversation probably would have been brief.

Oh I just remember it happened with 2 people boxed. One of them is still a friend and a very cool guy. I don't have any contact anymore with the other one, only with one of his family members who has become a friend. I was nervous in both cases, but at the end of the day they are just very talented in what they do and that's it.

If I was I would not be ashamed wink. I am used to people who cannot relate who I fell in love with and choose to live my life with wink.
