I get paid twice a month, on the 15th and the last day of the month. The check that I get in the last day, is for rent and utilities. The check that I get on the 15th is usually mine to play with. What I do with that check, is I go to the market and buy food that will last me until I get paid again. If I do run short by the 30th, I just refill what it is that is running low. Is that possible for you?

That used to be me when I wasn't making much money at my first job. I was paycheck to paycheck. Lord, it felt so good to get out of that drag once I started making half-way decent money.

Toast is always a good standby, but I think eating too much bread and pasta is what's made me put so much weight on. Ugh.

I started that when I was not making much, now I make 5 times as much and still follow that routine. It has worked to my advantage.

I have also set up and ING account that takes $50 out on the 15th of every month. This is money that I never see, unless I check the ING website. I have made off like a bandit.

thumbs up! Yup. That's the way to do it. When I was working I would have $100 deposited to ING every pay day. I never saw that money, didn't think about it, and when I lost my job, I had a nice little kitty.
