Tori Amos concert...... Last night a friend and I went to see tori Amos in rotterdam , The ahoy venue. It was a whole seated concert, so also the whole groundfloor had chairs. This was kind of a surprise, I thought they never did that(ONA last year anyone??). we had the two worst seats in the whole building at the very back of the venue row two, right after the sound and light boot. Then this lady (from venue) showed up and she asked if we would like to change seats...so we thought OK. And she put us right on row 1 in front of the stage!!! a little on the left, but two meters from the stage...WOW that is what I call service.
The whole concert was a very nive experience. Bass, drums and tori on all sorts of keys. What a fantastic voice she has...I do not own alot of her albums, but it was a nice evening with really good music. Then during the concert it struck me: My thoughts went back to october 15!! When our little man from mpls played this arena. That soundcheck, in front of this same stage...man P is really a showman. The exactly opposite of this tori amos concert. The ONA concert was my best ever (until nighttown came by... ) But yesterday it was nice to see a completely different approach in concert...A world of differences... Anyone else saw her? Peace, just some of my thoughts Lemon I got a ticket for the last show of the euro ONA tour!

Haven't been to the concert, but I did hear her perform
some live songs on dutch radio yesterday. She also did an interview, but I couldn't really make out what she was saying since I was at the hairdresser's and they were babbling as usual. The songs sounded cool tho, much better stripped down and sparse instead of this new wave album feel she's on now. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I've seen her 3 times now and they've all been killer. Once at UofM in '94 and once for a double show at the Fox Theatre in '96. The first show was probably my favorite cuz it was just her and her piano. And the song selection was perfect. I met her after that one and she was one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She gave me a kiss and a hug and she tasted like buttered popcorn. I love Tori.

I've seen Tori on every tour since 1994, and she never ceases to amaze me. I'm really looking forward to her coming to Texas on this current tour! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)
